after over a decade together, Kizzie the Wonder Dutchie left us this Spring.
turns out she had a heart condition we didn't know about 'til her very last day, and there wasn't anything that could be done about it. she was so strong-minded she'd been dealing with it so well for so long nobody had any suspicion. with her departure went huge pieces of our hearts. we weren't sure we could ever have another dog again after that.
out of the Desert literally walked Missy. no idea what her background is, but she's desperate to please us, and getting used to life so different it might as well be on a different planet.
here she is camped in a friends orchard last month.
I picked up Hank Monday from the pound. For Christmas I brought him along with me on a three hour drive to visit my grandparents. He did amazing on the trip.
I wanted to get a cute photo, Ash wanted to go for one of our daily afternoon ride between my work meetings. He did, but not before I got his cute face
This boy loves snow and runs nose-down plowing through it. He was just a few months old when we had back-to-back +12" snows here 10 years ago and I could hardly get him back in the house, he loved it so much. 10 years later, he still loves it and hates to come back inside from it. The Jeep is his, and the tags have his name on it to prove it, lol.
My old pup loved going for rides, sun or snow. This was his default riding position, snoot up against the glass or out the window.
This was his very last ride, took him to the park so he could be grumpy at ducks. He crossed the rainbow bridge just a few hours later. I miss his goofy self every day.
