Pound pups make great dogs. Life is to short to not have a dog or cat or both.Maybe a good mut from the pound! Think I will go look tomorrow I sure love some dogs.

Absolutely!!!!I think I need a fawn colored pup to go with my Gobi with black fenders...what do you guys think? Does Hell Beast need a younger brother or sister?
Try ginger cookies, they may help settle tummy. We had a spaniel mix who would get carsick until she was almost 2, she would make "the face" and we'd hold up double grocery bags (yes, we trained her to use them) but that only helps if you have a passenger. She eventually stopped getting sick when we started letting her ride more forward facing/in the front seat, which was good because she loved car rides! good luck, your baby is super cute!
We had a pup that went through some of that. We went to no food before the ride ( or lots of time for it to sit well) and just did short trips that got a little longer as time went on. The ginger might work also. I would let them set a while before the ride. Also fresh air with the window down some if possible.
Might also just grow out of it.
Good luck with that pup.
Thanks, y'all!! I've tried dramamine without much success. I'll have to try ginger cookies next time and see if that helps. Vet prescribed something called Cerenia, which is a dog-specific anti-nausea pill, but it's $20/pill so I was going to wait and use it for a drive longer than five minutes. Windows open didn't help, but I may go radical and take the top off and see if that improves his experience some. Maybe the fully open air experience, while safely tethered, might ease any claustrophobic feelings.Mesa is a cutie!!
My dog got carsick a lot as a pup (she still doesn’t do as well on twisty roads). My vet recommended Dramamine and it helped a lot.
I still pack paper towels and ziplock bags on our trips to the beach, just in case.
Thank you.I think the more you take him for short trips, up and down the driveway, around the block, you will acclimate him to riding.Even just sitting in the Jeep, parked at home, works wonders. Lots of praise, and a small treat getting in and out. Parked, and then in motion, will help determine if it is stress, or the motion sickness that is the culprit.
Don't give up, having your Buddy with you is "priceless"
