I ordered them right from the dealer like back in June. There are two different part numbers, one for the left the other is for the right side of the hood. The pins on the back align differently for each side which I didn't know so my right emblem was on back-order for months when I could of just ordered two left side emblems. I ended up cutting the pins off the back anyways....

Hood Locks:
I installed some DV8 Hood Locks, Firecracker Red color matched.
Certainly not 'theft proof' but it may slow em down a few extra seconds. Also, I think they look pretty cool :like:

DV8 Front & Rear Inner Fenders Jeep 392.

This install ended up being a bit more difficult than any of the videos I watched regarding the install of the inner fenders alone, of course there were no instructions. I'm very glad I did test fit prior spraying the inner fenders or I could have ended up scratching the paint job quite a bit. It took a lot of finagling & some customizing and the use any of the Christmas Tree push pins to hold these in place was a No-Go for me. Perhaps this set was for a non-392 JLU.?. Now with that I did invest extra time time customizing these inner fenders to my liking.

These inner fenders were originally vented, and still kinda are, just not as much now. I love the vented look but I do not like the idea of water splashing up in the engine compartment every time it rains, or sand, dirt, etc... So, I built a back plate that sits about a half-inch behind the drilled grill [using nuts as spacers] that still allows for water/sand drainage and of course allows for vented air passage. The plates are about a half inch larger on all sides so air can still vent thru the sides but we're not dealing with the same degree of contaminants. I also sprayed the backplates with chrome flake [and clear-coated the plates] so there's some bling when the sun hits. It's not over-the-top bling but definitely a nice little accent that goes with the wheels. More specifically, I used regular galvanized sheet metal for shape integrity and put the same-sized cosmetic aluminum sheet metal over that, liquid nailed the two together, then after drying I drilled the bolt holes. The cosmetic sheet metal has a shiny textured look and this is what I sprayed the chrome flake on.

I also installed some rubber to cover the now exposed areas under the front fender that would otherwise be exposed to the elements and allow dirt build-up if only the new inner fenders were on, besides it's kinda unsightly to see what would normally not be covered, the underside of an exposed fender. There are some electrical connections and a box below the right fender as well. Not sure what the box is for but it's electronic.

I may use rubber on the rear fenders but as it is now it does not look too bad, I do want to replace the rear white fender clips with black clips which I already have, just not installed yet. The front clips are not seen due to the installation of the rubber.

If anyone plans on installing DV8 inner fenders on a 392 feel free to reach out. There ARE some things you should know that'll help with the install, primarily where to drill into the frame to ensure a secure fitment, no Christmas tree push clips allowed ;) And if you have a cute helper with little hands that's a bonus!

The painted visors contrasts nicely to the weather stripping. It looks like it belongs there 👍🏼

Wish we just got a badge under the tail light instead of two on the hood. Even under the Jeep logos would’ve been better.

Removed hardtop (stowed in garage) put on soft top.
Wheels n Tires (decided on the chrome wheels).
Tinted windshield (silver) and front side doors (20% black).
Automatic electric step rails (raise/lower when the doors close/open).
Spare tire tailgate mount to compensate for the larger tire.
Bad a$$ alarm, no details

1635187163883.png
They are brothers! LOL

That's what I have, OEM Replicas to the SRT. How could I go wrong, lol. They also have these wheels in a black chrome [which may be what's on the Grand Cherokee, hard to tell.?.]. I was torn on which to go with, obviously I went with the chrome. Mine are 20x9. Perfect fitment to include perfect hub alignment where the hub & wheel 'slide' together.

I appreciate it, thank you. Ya, like most projects I try to imagine what the final product will look like, like most people - I assume. With this one here though I sensed it would either go really well or end up looking cheesy & cheap like it just didn't belong. I had some people telling me to not paint them at all.
Unlike the inner fenders, with the visors being so close to the factory paint it would have to color & texture match perfect which included wet sanding & polishing them. Now I just need to figure out what to do with that little window on the rear doors.?. I'd like the visor 'lines' to match all the way down the side. I'll figure something out.

An Excellent Investment, the TAZER Mini!!!

As I have slightly oversized tires (from stock 33 to 35") this the primary reason I purchased a Tazer Mini. I'm sure some of you have heard of this device, but if not... This device 'reprograms' the vehicle's speedometer and shift points when plugged into the Security Gateway Module (SGW) located just above/behind the OBD port.

As an example... Prior the Tazer Mini install while having my oversized tires on, when the speedo says I'm going 80 mph in reality I was doing ~ 88mph. However, this little gadget does much much more. (From their website [Zautomotive] I'll copy/paste some of the other functions below.)

But real quick.. it does have a function to disable the front wheel drive, or rather, have only rear wheel drive on, so, I had to try it. On a back street at a dead stop I romped on the gas and Holy $hit!!! I started to roast my tires as the 392's ass end dropped! Now I only did that just once to witness a Wrangler actually doing a burnout, and a hell of a burn out it was!

With that, I would not recommend leaving that setting on. Maybe give it a quick whirl to witness the same as I, a Wrangler roasting the tires, LOL. I can only imagine doing that frequently would ultimately snap something in the rear end - it's simply too much torque. For race, the 392 launches much quicker in 4 Auto, but it's still pretty cool to see.

Looks good. How well do you think the windshield will hold up with the tint? I've gone through windshields in the past like water (thank you Colorado mountains during ski season) and I don't want to re-tint every time.
