So I made a phone call yesterday from my phone in the Jeep via bluetooth / Uconnect. At the end of the call, my Uconnect would not disconnect. The Uconnect screen froze. My mobile phone disconnected but not the Uconnect.
I tried:
The whole time the Uconnect screen remained on and the call timer kept going. By the time I got home the call timer on the Uconnect screen was well beyond 1 hour.
Once home, I disconnected the negative battery cable on the main battery. Uconnect still on, and timer still timing. So my last idea was to disconnect the negative battery cable going the the auxiliary battery. If this did not work, I would have to call an exorcist. Disconnecting the aux battery did the trick. Everything seems to be back to normal now. At least normal for a Jeep.
I tried:
- Pressing the red end button on the Uconnect screen
- Pressing the red cancel button on the steering wheel
- Turning off my phone's bluetooth
- Powering down the Uconnect
- Un pairing my phone
- Turning off my phone
- Parking the Jeep, turning off the ignition and opening the drivers door, then restarting the Jeep
