Hello all,
When installing a child seat using the ISO FIX (those metal loops) system in the rear seats, how to you keep the seat belt alarm from bonging for 10 minutes?
When the seat is latched in, of course not belt is used. But, it weighs enough that the occupancy detection sensor is triggered which makes it bong and bong and bong. It actually does this for both the middle seat and passenger rear, even though the child seat is only on the passenger side. Super annoying.

No issues here. Never had a single issue with anything on the back seat. Dumb question, is there anything on your front passenger seat that is causing the alarm?

Nope. In the instrument cluster it gives you a picture of all the seats and lets you know where it comes from.
If I buckle the belts in the back, it goes away, but that is a work around and not the solution.

I’ve got a convertible car seat one one side and a base for an infant seat on the other. No issues at all.

You can use a programmer to disable the beeping.

Which programmer? The only one I have is the fancy VW Audi group one what lets you turn on and off all sorts of features and hidden functions.

I have 2 child seat in my rear using the “latch system” with no problems. It must be bc your JL is not a U.S. spec. I would just run the real seatbelt behind the child seat and click it in

I use the Tazer JL. I can’t speak for any others but this one is top notch.

Not sure if you will be adding larger tires down the road but if you do I think it would justify purchasing the Tazer. you could change the tire size, TPMS setting and disabling those rear seatbelt chimes. Or if you got money to spend just go for it now!

It is very hard to add bigger tires in Germany. 35inch tires would be impossible.
