Is this common on muffler? Or somewhere leaking ?

Recently I found a lot of white stuff near the muffler and pipe, and water was dripping down. I'm sure it's not coming from the pipe, cause it's really clean and dry. I take a pic from the muffler, anyone know this what happened?

There's probably a small hole at the bottom of the muffler's back plate. It's a water drain. A little water from the exhaust system is normal (catalytic operation and condensation), so a drain hole is provided. A side effect is sooty water staining the muffler and tail pipe end.

A quick search says the white is likely minerals in the water, but could also be coolant residue. A coolant pressure leak down test might be called for.
