I agree completely! Had a driver hit me head on from the time the other driver crossed the yellow line until impact was less than half of a second. totaled my '06. Once the other drivers insurance company saw the video they claimed 100% responsibility immediately no questions asked! I have not made the dash cam video public just yet but will in the near future. I will post here... So now I sit and wait for my Reign Sport to be built.

One of the problems with a dash cam is that in an accident it can be used for you or it can be used against you. If you had hit that car and the opposition would have blown that video up and slowed it way down to try to make the case that you had plenty of warning and time to stop. Not saying they would have won but it's not always the concrete proof you think it will be.

I agree… This lady said I ran a red (my light was green long before I went through the intersection) and none of the witnesses stayed around. My Garmin dash cam eliminated the entire he said she said issue.

I will later share the entire video and more details. But yes get a dash cam, you need one. I do have injuries, multiple fractures in my left arm that required surgery.

What fuse did you wire into? I have a Blackvue front and back setup that I pulled out of my Porsche before I sold it to dealer. I have all the equipment to figure out a good fuse, but if you've done it already, I'm also happy to be lazy about it.

My Garmin was powered via OBD port. But that’s probably not the route you want to take.

I too think it was a dumb video to post. Why use the horn? An attorney would tear you up using this if you did collide with the bad driver.

This seems like normal city week of driving and nowhere close to a potential Mojito write off.
Pulling out of a turn lane? No blinker? Stopping in the middle of the road to cross to the other side? I seriously doubt it.

Which dashcam do you have?
Street Guardian SG9665XS V2. It's old, they don't make it anymore, but it's a good brand.

I agree!

I agree, but only if I had actually collided with him. The description was a slight hyperbole ;).

I didn't hardwire this dash camera, just used the cigarette jack. I think if you want to do the fuse tap, you'll have to run the wires to the hood fuse box which I didn't want to do.

Garmin mini in every car I own. Ived used it against cops that said I was doing something I was NOT.
Yessir! I like the Garmin Mini because you can Bluetooth up to 4 of them together and splice the video when you export it. Front, Back, and side to side....

Exactly! They are easy to install. No confusing software. I dumped my 4K DR900S or whatever it was for the garmin mini. No screen. Super small. No one sees them. No eye sore. Garmin Mini HANDS down!
