Hello all! First posting from a new member. This forum has been such a valuable resource as I try to narrow down my decision on what JL model to buy. I'm in the Phoenix area and will likely end up ordering rather than buying off of the lot, but would like to see the 2dr Rubicons in person before I finalize my decision and place my order. Currently I have a 2013 Grand Cherokee 4x4 Laredo with a leveling kit, 32" GY Duratracs, and JK Rubicon take off wheels. Nice looking and capable for what I do, but I miss just about everything about my old Wranglers. What I really want is a 4dr JL Rubicon... but I've come to the realization that I just can't afford it and it will be a few years before I can. Grand Cherokee is getting up there in miles so I'm looking to replace it sooner rather than later. So, the decision comes down to a 4dr Sport S or a 2dr Rubicon. I had a 92 manual YJ softtop and a 2010 auto JKU Sport hardtop in the past and there were advantages and disadvantages to each model, transmission, and top. I don't "need" a Rubicon for the light off roading that I do, but I just can't get over how much better they are (and look) "off the shelf". For whatever JL model I go with, I plan on the auto trans with upgraded soft top and will run a small lift with 35" tires. If I go Sport S, then I'll get the LSD and 24S package options as well. Now I wait for the 2dr Rubicons to hit the lots so I can test drive... decisions, decisions. Thanks to everyone for all of the very informative and entertaining posts!

Scott from Memphis via South Dakota via all over. New member, long time troll. Took my powerwagon in for a sunroof leak and drove a JLU Rubicon home. I hate white cars but love the JLU so I pulled the trigger. Would have a Punk’n or Mojito as my first two choices. Frankly in SD the power wagon was perfect, in Memphis it was just HUGE. Already ordered a black exhaust from magnaflow and some other tidbits. Headliner is probably next.

Already have some serious seat time as I just turned over 2500 miles including a 1600 mile round trip from Memphis to Pittsburgh, averaged just above 20mpg a time 70mph

Hey everyone! Im Victoria. Im from Arizona but I am here in Italy for the next couple years. We ordered a new JL and itll be our first Jeep. My dad has had a CJ-7 for as long as I can remember and it was something that we always bonded over and were able to talk about and go to the weekly car meet up in. I look forward to learning a ton from all of you and seeing you builds with your Jeeps!

Hi Everyone, Ready to be a new Jeep owner. Never had one before, but, have always wanted one. I ordered a Rubicon JL the beginning of this month. Waiting, somewhat patiently, for the call from the dealership that it is here. Can't wait. It's going to be Ocean Blue Metallic with body color fenders and the freedom hard top, plus other extras. Dennis, here. Finally got a VIN# today after almost 3 months wait. Am very excited. Have a '95 YJ 2-dr and have had CJ-7 in the past. From northern Utah. Love the outdoors and Utah has LOTS to offer, including Moab. Retired from civil service and enjoying it mucho. Hiking and backpacking are my passion. Hoping to move to AZ within a year. Lots of trails there also. Great blog.

Forgive my ignorance, but where may I find the trip odometer? I filled my Jeep for a road trip and have no idea where to find some controls. Since it's fully loaded, it'll take me some time to learn everything. Any help would be appreciated.

Press the up and down arrows on the left side of the steering wheel. You'll find it.

A wave to y’all!! Mike from NW Oregon. Just picked up my JLUR loaded and lifted up on beadlocks and 37” KO2’s. Had a 500 mile drive home in which she drove flawlessly. I will say that 75mph and 50 mph crosswinds before entering the gorge was not my favorite leg of the drive. Headed to the coast today to play in the sand!! Hey everyone - Paul from Northern Virginia (I see a lot of local's in here!). I've had several JK's starting with a 2013 Sport and for some reason every year or so I'd upgrade it to the next trim, landing most recently a 2017 Hard Rock. Well, the time has come and I just placed my order today for a 2018 JLUR in Sting-Gray with the body-color hardtop as I was patiently waiting for (and saving for...sticker shock on these JL's). Sony @ Fair Oaks Jeep in Chantilly, VA has been good to me my last few JK's and was willing to hit 5% off invoice. Great experience with them in sales and service so far. I have a experience with some minor mods (installed bumpers, winches, rails, 2-3" lifts) and a few trails to include Rausch Creek up in PA, but mainly like to cruise out to Western Virginia/WV on the weekends with the top off.

Figured I'd upload some of my previous JK's , see you guys around the forums.
