Interior Map Light Conversion

Looking to see if anyone has done a conversion of the overhead map lights to a red, or another color LED.

I understand the interior lights are LED from the factory.

I have seen the Conversion of the footwell lights to the KC Cyclone, which is a great idea.

I'd like to convert all the interior lights to Red to be able to utilize them without it affecting my eyes at night.

The bulbs aren’t replaceable, it would take a full replacement of the dome light itself. You could try tinted film though.

Rather odd you would ask this. Since I drive a lot when it’s dark out I like to be able to see my coffee and generally like a little light in the car. I bought a dual led light at Menards today for,$3.00. Takes a few batteries and it’s bright as hell. I have colored gel material from stage lights (you can buy this on eBay very cheap). I taped a piece over each led so I have 1 red one and 1 blue one. Can turn either on or both forma purple hue. These come with both magnets on the back and Velcro. I stuck it up on the inside of the freedom panel [GALLERY=][/GALLERY]

Try using translucent tape in the color you want
