Well, okay then...I stand corrected...although I still dislike the 'REDICAL RED' dash.

Regarding the different redline - could both JLs have different engines...? —e.g., V6 vs 2.0T
Both 3.6L and 2.0T have the 6K redline for 2023. At least on the tach, still not 100% sure if the 3.6L has the 6.5K redline (mine changes up much sooner than that with the auto). Edit; just checked in 'manual' and the 3.6L does reach 6.5K.

My '23 also has the orange gauges, which looks a little too dated/old-school imo. Really think the red would've matched the dash and dozens of other red trim pieces better, but hey, at least some cheap-ass bean counter saved Jeep $2 on a $60k vehicle that jumped in price thousands of dollars over the past year ?

I believe the dash color has to do with the 2.0T v 3.6L. However I agree it was one of the first things I noticed when I got my new jeep and instantly thought this looks ridiculous and why doesn’t it match the red trim of the Rubicon. Even if it’s like that for the engines on other trims the rubicons should all have red given the red trim.

Thanks all. All four of ours are 3.6, so I don’t think it’s an engine thing. I’m not really a fan of the orange, but oh well.

So they have a 6,000 rpm Orange line now?

This has been discussed in another thread, but it's a cost cutting measure. The 3.6 still has a redline of 6.5, they're just using a single cluster now for all the gas powertrain options.

The red looks better to me, at least by the pics. I’ll see what I end up with whenever my 2023 chooses to ship.
