Remember— it only gets 1 mpg better than the 392 in the GW.
Sadly the truth. The standard 5.7L Hemi e torque in the Wagoneer gets even better mileage then both of them.

Woah hey now are you calling my work friends uncles cousins sister in laws dog sitter a liar and we WONT see the i6 in the JL?
Fake news. But the 1.5L 3-cylinder Hurricane as the base engine replacing the boat-anchor 3.6 is on for 2026.

Edit: Let me see if I can find the 37-minute long Youtube video from some rando that shares this morsel of information, posted over a year ago, which I will claim is absolute truth.

The release date is on or about the 12th of Neveruary.
Realistically they'll probably include it in the 2028 redesign.

I believe it comes out in the Rams either 2025 or 2026. More than likely they're going to do just like they did with the EcoDiesel... RAM owners will be the guinea pigs to work out all the bugs before we get it in the Wrangler.

I've heard the 3.0 Hurricane will be released about the same time as the 2 stroke V4 turbo diesel.

The uncle of a guy that yokramer works with told me.

It's all about the Bronco and the 4Runner/LC. Jeep only does the absolutely minimum in response to competition.

Ford is shutting down Bronco production for 2 weeks in early Jan for the model year changeover. I hope they have yet another meaningful refresh.

With the 392 going away and the Raptor R coming in, the gap in capability between the Bronco and Wrangler will go from huge to embarrassing. And the 4Runner will have high-end bypass shocks and 33" standard on some trims to boot.

Jeep - "Curtain airbags are not possible with the removable roof". Bronco launches with it standard, all of a sudden Jeep makes it possible.

Jeep - "33 inch tires on the JL Rubicon are da bomb". Bronco launches 35s across all trims, all of a sudden Jeep responds, albeit with a klugy giant bump stop with no uptravel.

Where is the response for the Bronco Raptor 37s?

Where is the response for the Bronco Raptor Dana 50 axle?

Where is the response for the Bronco Raptor HOSS bypass shocks?

Where is the response for the 2.3T base engine and the 2.7T V6 mid grade engine and the 3.0T V6 Raptor engine and the upcoming 5.2T V8 Raptor R engine?

If you want a better Wrangler you need to root for better Broncos. That is the only way we get even a hint of a chance to get anything other than color and stickers from Jeep.

I reached out to NOAA and I'm sorry to report that, despite the title of this thread, Hurricane Wrangler is not a position they're accepting applications for at this time. It turns out that, to my surprise, hurricanes cannot actually be wrangled.

Nah...given the way the wind is blowing in the Stellantis world, it will be an EV by then with ICE disappearing...IF someone else has not acquired them.

Yep- thank you Ford for my V8 Wrangler……..
a Braptor R coming ? I believe it, Ford has wisely doubled down on Stella stupid not only keeping V8 Mustangs and PU’s, but adding a factory warrantied Supercharger option . Offering factory tunes for the T-4 and T-6’s….. Ford is profiting by keeping freedom of choice available. 25 V8 Mustang prices raised $2,600- $3,645 (eco boost prices remain ~the same), who is wiser ?
