I would not change anything. The sensor is a legitimate safety element. Keep in mind tire pressure goes down with temp. I keep mine at 38 lbs. That way minor fluctuations in temp wont keep triggering sensor.
My new tires only need to be 30 - 32 psi. Even at 32 a minor temperature change drops them to 31 and the alarm comes on. Then I have to inflate to 38 to turn off the alarm and then lower to 32. If I reset the low threshold to 30 I'll still have full benefit of the safety feature.

I have the TPMS system defeated in 2/3 of my vehicles. I don't drive my truck enough to care if its TPMS light is on. I have also disabled the blind spot and backup nonsense too. When the camera dies eventually it'll get deleted as well.

Also 38 PSI....good grief, wouldn't want to ride in your Jeep.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the JScan can’t remember the “state” of the auto stop start button, meaning that the driver must remember to turn it off each time the Jeep is started. The Tazer remembers the “state” of the button; if off it stays off, if on it stays on. Part of why I went Tazer.
Regarding JSCAN and auto stop start, it does not remember the state of the button as far as I know. I used one of the auto stop eliminators until it started to have sporadic issues which was another reason that pushed me to the Tazer.

I’ve got a 2022 JLUR and I wanted to delete the tpms sometimes, fogs on with high beams, shut off auto start/stop. Looked the the Tazer was my best option. I recently added a 2021 Willys 2 door to my fleet and my main goal was shut off auto start/stop and fogs on with high beams (we live in a rural area with too many deer). Again Tazer was still the best option. Not wild about the price, but buying a second Tazer was the best thing to do to accomplish the goal.

Which auto stop eliminator were you using?

AEV procal snap works
It's also the biggest pain to install of the 3. I run 1 in my mojave because it came with the lift but it's the last one I'd go out and buy. The tazer for its live functions is mandatory on any Rubicon in my opinion. Sway bar disconnects at any speed. Front locker only if I want. Rear locker in 2wd. Even if I ran stock sized tires (who does that) I'd run a tazer just for those functions.

The one @Rhinebeck01 warned me not to get (auto stop eliminator) but the forum sponser (smart stop start) won’t ship to CA. It lasted 2 years and i really also wanted a Tazer for other reasons.

I agree. Disabled the TPMS on mine when I went to 35"s. Check my tires when the weather gets cold, every oil change when I do my rotation, and obviously after being done wheeling for the day. No reason for TPMS if you actually pay attention to the driving characteristics of your rig.

I agree the procal only really does speed calibration and psi (clears codes too but not all that useful) I had no issues installing in either my power wagon or my jeep. one thing is they can be picked up for cheap by people who have AEV lifts who already have tasers or jscan etc.

Some people need a nanny for everything. I don’t and would get rid of all nanny buttons etc. it should be selective by drivers. Some smart person could figure out how to reprogram the computer to do this. Part of the responsibility of driving a vehicle is to properly maintain it, checking the tire pressure is just part of the duties. I remember in Germany years ago unless you were physically impaired you had to change a tire and took your driving test in a stick shift to pass your test. Oh ! is that crying I hear in the back ground? 😎🤣

Not a problem installing, but all the other options are simple plug and play. The procal requires removing the glove box, pulling part of the console lose, and adding pin outs to the obdii connector. And somehow AEV claims theirs has the easy install on their site? That's the biggest lie I've ever seen.

That's another vote for the tazer. The traction control and ESS stay off. In my opinion the tazer makes the Jeep behave the way it should have from the factory.

Jscan is pretty simple. You need jscan app for about $28, a blue tooth dongle for about $100, and Chrysler 12+8 cables for $30.
Geez Louise, I don't know where you're buying your Bluetooth dongle but that's way too expensive!!!

This Bluetooth dongle is $31

Here is your security connector for $15

Then the app on your phone is like fairly cheap. They charge you per VIN number basically per vehicle.

I mean you could spend $150 on a JScan setup, but I don't know why you would want to when there's less expensive options that work just as well.

I bought the cheaper one of the two recommended by JSCAN for Jeep and it was under $60. Not sure why other models aren’t suggested?
