What's the easiest and/or lowest cost way to set a lower psi threshold for the TPMS? I've read that either Tazer or JSCAN will work but both seem to have a steep learning curve. I don't fully understand the hardware requirements for JSCAN. Suggestions?

Jscan is pretty simple. You need jscan app for about $28, a blue tooth dongle for about $100, and Chrysler 12+8 cables for $30.

JSCAN is the most economical. I would get the SGW extension cables from Tazer rather than the Chrysler 12+8 cables. You may end up with a Tazer for the additional functions especially the live functions. At least that’s how it worked out for me.

I got a tazer mainly to get rid of the FAD. But I also was able to lower the TPMS to I think 25 was the lowest.

Yes I just installed the Tazer a couple of days ago and you are correct 25 psi is the lowest.

ETA you can turn off TPMS reporting completely if you don’t use the tire sensors or don’t care to see tire pressure warnings.

Thanks for the responses. I've got a better understanding now of what I need.

This is what I did, I didn't even bother putting TPMS sensors in my new wheels and I don't have to worry about the dumb light on the dash. Love it.

Is that with the tazer? If so, that's good to know. I don't remember seeing that option, but I'm not the expert.

I do like seeing what they're set at though. Ideally I'd see the reporting without the warnings.

Well I’ve only had the Tazer for a few days so I’m not 100% but when I lowered my threshold I couldn’t get it below 25psi

So no sensors and no dash warning?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the JScan can’t remember the “state” of the auto stop start button, meaning that the driver must remember to turn it off each time the Jeep is started. The Tazer remembers the “state” of the button; if off it stays off, if on it stays on. Part of why I went Tazer.

I would not change anything. The sensor is a legitimate safety element. Keep in mind tire pressure goes down with temp. I keep mine at 38 lbs. That way minor fluctuations in temp wont keep triggering sensor.
