Not a problem installing, but all the other options are simple plug and play. The procal requires removing the glove box, pulling part of the console lose, and adding pin outs to the obdii connector. And somehow AEV claims theirs has the easy install on their site? That's the biggest lie I've ever seen.
it really is easy or at least it was for me. once you realize how the locks on the obd connector work (the little flaps) the pin outs slide right in place and lock in. I did not remove the console just ran the harness thru to the glove box and takes less than a 30 seconds to pop the glove box door off. I am a beat down old drunk who barely can read but had no problems.

And the others just plug in above the obdii port though? Again, not that it's hard, but overly complicated by comparison. The fact they claim their system is easier shows a disconnect from reality.

If not putting tpms in your tires works think I’ll leave mine out when I purchase new tires. 😎

I wouldn't care as much if sensors didn't cost so much...5 or 10 bucks each whatever but not at 30-50 each...hard pass

Is that dealer price?😎
I don't know. I know tire shop prices are even more insane for them too.
I've seen them go for as much as $75 a pop. A tire job is a lot cheaper if you just leave them out then there's no extra cost at all.

Most shops will not leave them out due to liability. Some small mom and pop place might but most won’t.

If you are going to a chain shop I agree. I stay away from chain shops because of aftermarket wheels. I haven't come across a 4x4 shop that will deny you if you request no TPMS.

No reason for TPMS if you actually pay attention to the driving characteristics of your rig.
I remember the Exploder rollovers causing this particular nanny knee-jerk.
Is there a federal requirement to not disable it - like catalysts?

And IIRC, I used ECRI to reset my TMPS parameters. My 285/70-17 chalk best at 29psi.

yes since like 2009 they have been a federal mandate and like catalytic convertors shops will be get fined if they leave them out and most are not willing to take the risk.
