How to force unlock the soft top

Guys I think I messed up my soft top. I tried to put it back on and there's the clip lock on one side that is stuck into the lock position and obviously I can't get on top of the jeep because it's not aligned. Anyone know how to unlock this? I tried pulling on it like a madman to no avail.

Hmm... it won’t unlock if there’s pressure on it but I’m sure you’ve tried that. I have no idea, other than that

I honestly am at a loss for word here. I unbolted everything and I still can't get it to unlock. Plus the thing is like upside down?

I had that happen once when it was on the Jeep. I just firmly hit it with the heel of my hand (like you were u locking it regularly, just with more force) and it unlatched.

I wanted to try but isn't there a chance to break it?

I did the same thing on a brand new one i bought, i could NOT get the one side to release, I took it back to the parts department and they got me a new one. So, maybe its a design flaw, see if its covered under warranty.

Damn it's brand new yeah but now it's a bit kinked because I tried to unstuck it. I don't know what they'll say about that. Still thanks a lot!
