I have the 3.6 engine. How many batteries do I have? I only find one when I’m looking, but I read that there may be 2.

Yes there are two, the second one is a smaller ESS battery that is buried under the first one

Shoot, you mean you need to pull out bigger battery to get to the smaller EES under it?

From what I've seen on video...yes. It's under the main battery and to the rear of it. It's not to convenient to get to.

Do the 2.0 T4 have 3 total? 2 under hood, 1 48V along the frame underneath?

I could think of one reason putting it where they did and that would be most ppl won’t even try to pull the second battery and will take it to the dealer, the engineers honestly could have made room somewhere so it was more easily accessible

I was just wondering. Does the Jeep still run if one battery dies?

You might be thinking of the cooling systems, of which the 2.0 has three different ones

1) engine
2) intercooler
3) 48V battery

The 3.6L Wrangler will not run (start) if either battery is too low, or bad. Also, jump-starting is a longer process, since the AUX battery must come back up to normal voltage before it will start. Since the vehicle electronics need constant power through a stop-start cycle, they run on only on the AUX and the main battery cranks the starter and ignition. Battery charge voltage will fluctuage a lot too -- from 12V to 14V -- depending on what state the system is in. Most of this is in the Owner's Manual.

You actually can request a manual to be sent to you for free through Jeep Customer Service. I got mine and it is THICK.
