How long is the build wait?

Hi folks, I have put down a deposit for a 2023 Rubicon 4xe and have been waiting for 7 weeks now to get any news on scheduling and build date. The car is not in a D1 state yet, so all status fields say TBD for dates.

Anyone have any experience with these waits? How long did you have to wait?

For 4XE builds it seems pretty fast and it sounds like the reason is due in part to the current rebate possibly not being available for purchases in 2023 so they're trying to get as many into buyers' hands before the end of the year. My order at the end of September was delivered mid-October, for example.

We ordered a 4xe on Oct 26th and as you can see it was finished being built on Nov 20. My guess is that some of your options have parts shortages. Our dealer was excellent about double checking on some of our options to confirm they were available. Some of the options that we couldn't get were strange, but other made sense, like chip shortages for the two safety groups.

Like was mentioned above, that thread has a ton of info. However, it may drive you a bit crazy to see jeeps like ours being produced quicker than yours. Good luck.

Yeah, that is frustrating as I put in my order on the 3rd of October(3 weeks earlier) and everything is sitting in TBD. I also have the Safety and Advanced Safety group, and according to one dealer you can't order those two options right now. So it could be that's why it's delayed, but how a vehicle ordered 3 weeks later gets the parts would be strange. Here is my order info...

It seems that Jeep is not letting you order a build with Advanced safety on a Rubicon anymore, you have to get a Sahara High Altitude to get that option...

Looking at the data, I am guessing the things with the very low KZX percentage is what is holding up builds
