Skyline of Kabul. Kabul is a little higher than Denver so weather is not too bad. Today it is 25 degrees I think. The further north you go, the crazier things get until you reach ridiculous climates where I don't understand why people live.

It's running about 10 under average here in southwest FL. High today was mid-60s (average high is 75 in January), and low temp around sunrise will be about 50.
Northern FL might get snow. Brrrrr.

Windchill per se doesn’t affect machinery like living beings, same as humidex on the high end. However, the wind will definitely cool warm machinery off much quicker then on a windless day. Just 2 hours outside in a windy -35 the vehicle is stone cold, even the tires have a flat spot for a couple blocks.

Yeah, I don't get the "windchill is not a thing" thing. Absolutely no idea how they come up with the "feels like" temperature (nor do I gaf). Just know that I can still walk outside for a little while with only shorts and a t-shirt when it's calm and 15° to 20°F outside. Take those same actual temps and add some strong winds and I'll nope-out in just a few minutes.

Same with 0°F and some heavy winds. You can bundle up in gear like a fluffy Eskimo all you want, but some part of your face, eyes or airway is probably getting chapped after too much exposure. Not so much (or as quickly) when it's 0°F and mostly calm.
