Im not sure I understand what your asking but here are when the part number changes were made

68480920AA -> 68480920AB 3/18/2021
68480920AB ->68480920AC 5/18/2022

Note this is parts data and not vehicle production date info so there could be some differences here.

Confusing me too- late July-early August build yet has the AA that was replaced with AB in March, and AC well after beginning XR production….. I’m attempting to determine if my ECM is the same as a 21 XR’s or not.

The part number of the ECM does not tell the whole story, The software that is downloaded onto it is what's most important and this information is impossible to see without the dealers scan tool.

Looking for a 2 door JL soft top, should I go to Bestop, or can you give me a better deal?

Hi, I'm looking for the sides (#2 & #3) that match #1 in the diagram below, which in this case is 6QN24RXFAD (2018-2023 gladiator with camera).

I just caught wind of this and I had a early and a late build 392 and both computers were the same and same part number if I remember correctly, I was looking into getting a tune from Livionis

Appointment Tuesday to hopefully determine if MDS disable with OR+ possible even if it requires the “AC” ECM likely about $1000, but worth it to me as a one time cost on a forever Jeep. Will also give me an ECM for a Livernois tune upon warranty expiration as they advertise CARB compliant. ?

d just read this on the 392 forum after taking a quick look. Apparently Livernois tune will disable MDS and to disable it on your own which I did not know you could do

If you use the tiptronic shifter “M” etc MDS won’t come on
To verify, set cruise control in drive or M
Switch between M and D with the performance exhaust on. Her beautiful hum of efficiency…
Given your OP I would say you should be ripping this thing in off-road+ and keeping it in M.
You can’t use cruise control in off road+, but you can in M or D without off-road+ which, in M, would disable the MDS for you

I am constantly tapping in and out of Manual shift to minimize 4cyl, but I don’t understand what you are trying to explain what cruise control has to do with it ?? Please attempt to advise idjit….. tune not until the warranty expires

I have no idea on why they are mentioning cruise control, I just did a quick search on disabling MDS and didn't know that you could do it by going with the shifter and also by going with a tune

They did have a link to toms4x4superstore in TN and they had a 21 392 that they did a cam/lifter change in order to get rid of the MDS. There is a short video of it I believe on FB but for some reason I can not get on their site..
