Hood Lettering Decals

@kimmonia I do not have any direct experience with this, but I don't see any reason why adhesion would be a problem if it is still a smooth surface.

Okay, sounds good - I’m thinking of removing the rubicon decal and then applying the PPF over the hood - this is in hopes to avoid the film having air gaps around the decal. Then apply a custom or another rubicon decal over that.

Do what you wish but a good installer will have zero problem applying over your sticker. I did and you would never know.

Good point, I’ll ask my installer. The one I go to is listed on the expel authorized dealer list with excellent reviews so we’ll see.

There are photos of lighter colors with xpel with undetectable effects around the lettering of the hood decals - I have granite crystal and darker colors seems to show the xpel more. That said, how close the matte finish are the lettering from your product?? If possible, I'd like to preserve that for the replacement rubicon lettering or custom name I will decide in the future

The lettering I make has a matte black finish with a gloss red outline. The red I am using is a little brighter than the stock red, FYI.

Thank you for the picture. I chose Reflective Black as the inside color and Red as the outline. I've already ordered it and it's sitting at the house waiting for me to return from my trip. I was just curious if you had an example of it. I appreciate the quick reply. Thank you again.
