Waiting on my JLS and already spending mad $ on accessories. I saw where some JK hitches fit the JL but not the plug-in wiring harness because the tail light connector is different. Saw on youtube someone used JK wiring by cutting the connector and tapping into the JL tail light wires but concerned it would void the warranty. Is it possible to take a JK plug-in wiring kit, get a replacement connector for the JL tail lights and tap the wires into the connector? In theory you would create a simple plug-in wiring harness for the tail lights on the JL.

Tapping the tail light wiring wouldn’t void your warranty, and even if you screwed it up and broke something, all they could do is not warranty your tail light.
