I might be in as well. Will have to wait a few days closer to be sure.

Any plans for one between early December and March/April? I know the weather isn’t the greatest then but the park shouldn’t be crowded

Brett
Nothing we have planned as of now.

Do you know any local people doing to ejs?

Brett
We are going the week before. A buddy of mine is getting married the weekend before, we will be wheeling a week prior and catching the beginning of EJS and heading out. I will see who is going the week of and let you know. Usually have a decent sized local (Houston Area) going.

Good deal. Would like to meet up with some home town folks. We’re out of Navasota so Houston isnt super close but not far away either. We’re keaving on the 12th and will be home on the 21st tentatively.

I’m going. Leaving 14th-15th. Plan to be back home 22-23rd.
We’re leaving after we get my boy on the 12th and will be home on the 23rd. Might hit up the Grand Canyon on the way. Where are y’all staying?

I went there yesterday the 27th. My first time there, lots of wheelin going on. There were quite a few areas that were muddy from all the recent rains. I guess I was expecting more dusty and rocky and I got mud. There is definitely something for everyone. Trails for all levels from trail ride to level 5 climbing. They have RV sites with full hook ups, RV sites with electric only deeper into the park, and of coarse tent camping. They have a food truck set up if you want a snack or don't want to pack a lunch. It was really a pleasant experience. I'm looking forward to the 10th and meeting some fellow jeepsters and doing some more trails. Au revoir

I think it really depends on when you go. The rain really changes the park, and you end up missing some great trails (No-Name) but it's an amazingly beautiful time. My first trip up there was summer, and it was exactly what you thought it would be, dusty and rocky, and this weekend, just a completely different experience.

I am interested in tagging along. Need to verify I don't have anything else going on that day.

We have a group heading out of Houston Saturday morning. A few of us will already be there. I am figuring meet up around the pavilion about 10ish and head out from there about 10:45 or so. Even if we don't all stay as a group I'd like to meet a few other folks.

Again we will be more "trail riding" and keeping it tame. There are quite and few new folks going in our group that are just getting in to wheeling. We will also have kids, so if you want to bring yours don't hesitate.

If you drink and ride, cool. If you drink and act like an asshole it won't go well. Right, wrong or indifferent I know most of us enjoy a cold one. Myself and a few others don't take kindly to drunk assholes on the trail.

If you want, shoot me your number and I will make a group text to update that morning.
