I´ve got a set of Road Shock Lights for my Gladiator´s bumper. I have the Harbor Freight wiring harness, but I still might wire them up to the Aux switches. I was thinking 1 for low, 2 for high, and 4 for back lights, if I go that route.

For anyone who has the Road Shock wiring harness, where did you mount the switch? I was thinking somewhere under the headlight controls, but it might be pretty far down there to do that.

Just curious what others have done with these. I posted here because there´s a better chance of someone running these lights.

I was thinking of picking up a pair and installing them and here were my thoughts, I can't speak to where to mount the harness, but you will have to cut an outline likely. If you do the harness, the back lighting is always on I believe, which is not the case when wiring them to the aux switches. If I get them I am only going to wire the high beams because I want maximum brightness I don't really see a need for the low beam function. So my thought was wire back lighting to ignition on or DRL then wire high beam to aux 1. In my eyes using 3 aux switches for 1 light doesn't make sense as I likely will add things later that I would rather use with the aux switches.

Sounds like a good plan.

I do want the low beam, at least on the set on the bumper, for winter when the LED headlights and fogs freeze over, which has happened several times on my JL. Fortunately, I have Baja Designs LP6 lights and the low beams melt right through the ice and I can see well with them. I am assuming the HF lights will be warm enough to melt it off. We will see. If not, then I´ll go to the Aux switches and do what you are doing...one button, hight beam only.

Thanks for the idea!
