Installed the oracle back up light that replaces the factory reflector.
Purchased the harness they sell for plug and play . When both lights was plugged into the harness that was installed into the driver side wiring both the oracle and the Jeep reverse light would come on for one second then both go off.
Called oracle , they suggested tapping both sides of the reverse light and not using the harness . Thought was both lights was overloading the wire and causing the Jeep to cut it off.
Tapped the reverse light on both sides.
Worked for that day.
Now randomly it it does the same thing. All 4 reverse light will come on for a second then all shut off.
You can turn the Jeep off and back on and they work again.
mat times they will work for the entire drive then for no reason they do it again.
Any suggestions??

I called Oracle and asked if their bumper mounted back-up lights are true plug and play with their optional wiring harness. I also asked if there were any problems with the back-up lights. At first they said no problems. Then they kind of back peddled a little when I asked about any issues flickering or not working. They said in some instances problems can happen using their plug and play wiring harness which is designed to plug-in the driver side tail light for both of the bumper lights. They said buying a second plug-and -play wiring harness from them might be required if there are problems. Apparently plugging in just on the driver side might cause problems because the bumper back-up lights might draw too much current. A fix is to buy a second plug-and-play wiring harness from them and to plug-in from the passenger side tail light also to distribute the load.

They said it is hit or miss if you need to buy a second plug-and-play wiring harness from them. Some people have no issues with just one. Others need a second wiring harness from them.

Or they said to just tap/splice into each left and right side tail light wire. Personally I do not like tapping into the factory wiring harness.
