Tomorrow I am going to pick up my first ever 2025 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door Sport 3.6L 6MT.
It has all season tires and I would like to replace them with AT tires so I ca explore many trails in High Desert of N. Nevada and Sierra Mountains.

Here are four tires I have in mind.

Thank you.

Here is my 25 2dr sport V6 6MT with 35” Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs on the stock sport wheels. Tires are 255/85/17. Closest tire to a 35” and only 10mm wider than the stock 245s 4” taller though. I also installed a set of rubicon take off springs, shocks, rubicon rock rail and rubicon high clearance fenders.

That looks cool. I'd like to stay with stock suspension and 32" max tire height.
Thanks for sharing.

If your dead set on those four tires I would immediately eliminate the BFG and Bridgestone as the two lowest performing off road. IMO of course.

Honestly if you're gonna stay small, consider some Rubicon take offs. You can find them with low mileage and wheels fairly easily for relative bargains. Maybe a tad taller but not by much. And you'll have a second set of wheels if you want to have an off road "rock rash" set and pretty on road set.

Totally agree with Mifsuud. BFG’s have been a huge disappointment on overall performance, odd wearing (chunks of tread and gouges, subpar side walls, etc). BFG KO2 35’s were stock on my 24 JLUR-X and put on the same tire but 37’s and have had nothing but issues. Mickey Thompson’s going on tomorrow! Good riddens BFG’s!

So the Nitto or Cooper would be acceptable? The trails around here are pretty mild with rocks slightly bigger than fist. Drove on many of the trails around here with my friend who has side by side. Nothing crazy that I would need a lift or big tires. No rock crawling either.

I 2nd Nitto or Cooper. I run Cooper AT's on my Xterra, they've been fantastic and the price was great.

Good luck buddy.

IMHO Keep what comes with the Jeep for a month or two so you establish a base line of what the Jeep feels like stock with the tires it comes with.
Too many on these forums push new Jeep owners into a replace stuff mindset before the first payment is due.
You may not have to replace the tires at all.

You want a lift, even a small lift gives you that much more up travel. 285/70R17 are as small as you want to run if you want to play around these days in the Sierra's. By the time you air down on 17" wheels that little extra tire really helps.

I wouldn't mind to eventually do a mild lift maybe 2". How do you accomplish that. With sprig spacers?

Firestone destination AT2 are the top rated based on tire reviews.com which is a very well regarded review site.

Went to read about it on tirereview.com and also watched video on TireRack.
Thanks.
