So after installing the Mopar 2" lift on my 4 door Sahara, I've decided to go with a bigger tire than what I currently have on, BF Goodrich KO2 in 285/70/17.

This is not a daily driver as it's my days off toy for going to the gym, beach, running the dog around, etc. I have no immediate off road plans as I live in SW Florida where off roading is limited and involves sugar sand and trail brush, neither of which I am interested in.

Any opininions, advice, personal experience is welcomed here.

I would go with the BFG’s. Friend of mine bought the STT’s for his Rubicon. He returned them because the tires caused the jeep to pull to one side even after rotation and alignment. Replaced with Nitto’s and drove straight. Mastercrafts are like buying a cheap watch. Go with quality and spend a couple extra $$$

Good advice. I ended up ordering BFG KO2s in load C, 315/70/17.

I have 37” Nitto Ridge Grapplers goin on mine Friday. Never had a Nitto tire. Wanted Toyo Rt’s but Toyo was out of them. My buddy said he loves his Nitto’s and had many pair. Same parent company

I have had Nittos before and had no problems with them. Also had some Toyos and same story. Only reason I didn't consider this time is since I only have stock gearing, 3.45, I'm trying to keep the weight of the tire down and Nitto and Toyo are both known for being a heavier tire.

Why 315s and not 35s? All BFGs are inherently an inch shorter than their rated size, even moreso when mounted, and you're really not going to see much of a difference between the 315 and the 285.

Biggest reason is I don't really want an E load tire and the BFG 35s are E load and a tad bit heavier.

From the BF Goodrich website:
BFG KO2 285/70/17 C load (current tire) is 32.8" diameter, 11.5" wide, 50.33 lb.
BFG KO2 315/70/17 C load is 34.4" diameter, 12.7" wide, 64.4 lb.
BFG KO2 35/12.5/17 E load is 34.5" diameter, 12.5" wide, 66.27 lb.

I'm all ears here if I am missing something.

The 37’s are D load range
I'd love to go with 37s but unfortunately I'm not one of the cool kids with a Rubicon and 4.10 gears
