Looking at the LOD website, It looks like their mid length front bumper is only $210 less than the mid length aluminum bumper from RockHard 4x4. That's after adding everything on to the LOD that is standard on the RockHard. Powder coating, bull bar, skid plate, no adaptors needed to mount OEM fog lights or mount RockHard to Jeep frame. Looking at the weights on each website the RockHard aluminum bumper is about 30 lbs. lighter than the LOD.

I put the RockHard bumper on my JK thinking I would never add a winch. After talking about winches with a few People, with a lot more "Jeeping" experience then I had at the time, they told I might never use a winch but that one time you really need it you'll wish you had it. So, on my JL I got the RockHard bumper with the lowered winch plate. When you end up adding the winch it looks a lot better lowered then sitting on top of the bumper. Peace of mind having it & I have used it a couple times to help others. Obviously, I like RockHard & recommend them.

I really do like the rock hard full length more than their mid actually but that price...it's $1800 before tax after shipping. The mid isn't much better at $1650. The lod signature mid length with skid would be $1030 and the destroyer is just a hair less from Quadratec. I could buy a winch with the cost savings HAHAHA!

I wouldn't say safety is my number 1 concern, but it is a big thing that turns me off of the idea of a stubby. Leaving critical areas with nothing in front of them seems like asking for trouble. Maybe I'm just over thinking outcomes though lol.

I love the looks of my oem stubby bumper. Only drawback is that the winch is buried such that you can’t see how it’s spooling. Makes for rope piling and jamming. I’m thinking of going to a top mount bumper.

I just looked at each company's website, not other retail outlets, and did not include any shipping or taxes. I guess I must be looking at things wrong because I keep coming up with different numbers then you.

Rock Hard 4x4™ Aluminum Patriot Series Mid-Width Front Bumper for Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT 2018 - Current [RH-90249]
$1,500

LoD Offroad | LoD Offroad JT/JL Destroyer Mid-Width Front Bumper
After adding the items mentioned in original post the price listed was $1,288.

Well I think I found my bumper! It actually is one not at all mentioned in this thread. Going to leave it a surprise for now. Not entirely sure when I'll be pulling the trigger but likely very soon. Stay tuned!

Bumper has been ordered. Supposedly built to order so could possibly take some time to arrive but that is ok.

Dawg, good looking bumper. Metalcloak web page says this bumper will not work with OEM wheel spacer unfortunately. Too bad.
