Hi AwCrimety,

An update will be made available but at current time there is no estimated time of arrival. Any vehicle that currently is capable today of having the Jeep Off-Road Pages will be able to get them when they are made available. However, you're more than welcome to check with us periodically for any new development.

Thanks Jasmine! My dilemma is my dealer has offered me a generous trade value for my current Sahara.... But they can't just hold that offer indefinitely, and I need to make a decision soon. I can probably hold them until mid March, but I'm also afraid I might not like Sting gray, which would have made waiting pointless.

I don't suppose you could find any information or pictures of the actual color? There are rumours it is the same as defender grey,... Any chance of confirmation?

Either way, thanks so much.

“Wind noise” with the hard (or soft) top up? That’s silly. Clearly these people have not previously owned a Jeep. Otherwise, they would understand that Jeep engineers have spent countless hours perfecting the “Continuous Outdoor Effect” (COE for short) to allow Jeep owners to feel as if they NEVER have the top up! It’s as if you are driving topless all the time. This is especially cleverly engineered during rainstorms when, with the top up, you continue to experience the effects of rainwater via carefully engineered “Rain Facilitiation Drainage Points” (RFDP for short) found throughout the soft top and ordinarily at the seams of the hard top where rain seeps in to give one a “top down” experience in inclement weather when, in actuality, the top is up. These benefits are carefully designed to provide Jeep owners with the ultimate in topless driving-whether the top is down or not.
This will be my first hard top (dual top). Previously, I owned two soft tops and passengers complained about the noise, but I honestly didn’t give a damn; I considered it part of the charm of the Jeep. If someone wants a silent, predictable drive, then stick with a nice boring vehicle such as a Lexus. This is not to say that the people experiencing issues with their new tops shouldn’t complain and get it fixed. If something is wrong, of course, but to new owners, they should know that owning and riding in Jeep comes with certain charms.

It certainly sounded as though some of those complaining had valid points of comparison such as a JK, and at least one managed to significantly alleviate the noise by adjusting the hardware holding it in place.

I wonder how many people complaining about people complaining bothered to read the complaints with an open mind.
I wonder how many people complaining about people complaining was one of the people complaining? The next thing you know there will be complaints about the top leaks

Fair enough. So I went back and looked. As you put it "Some" of those complaining had valid points but to my point the majority chock it up to being a Jeep. I might also point out that the OP lives in Colorado. The windiest place in the country outside of Chicago. He's going to get more wind noise. The OP also test drove the JL's and his current ride is a 2017 Ram and a BMW. Do you think he might think the wind noise is a little loud. Exactly my point. So thank you for pointing that out so I could go back see that I was correct. What's next. "My hardtop leaks", "My new Jl rides rougher than my Grand Cherokee", "I wish they made a JL with a front bench seat so I could get all 4 kids and my wife in it at the same time", "My 0-60 time sucks in my Jeep, whats wrong with it" , When I go thru the auto carwash it doesn't get the mud off my fender flares", "My painted fender flares have rock chips on them, FCA should recall and paint them for free", "I'm only getting 15 MPG, my Honda got 32, WTH" Looks like someone complaining about someone complaining didn't take his own advice. Nice try Scooter....

"Drove jlu sahara and rubicon on highway for test drives. Seemed similar to me. Was not overly windy, but not a calm day. Defintely noisier than my m3"(Louder than his M3, correct me if I'm wrong but is that not a BMW?) So once again my point made. Dude steps out of a M3BMW and the Jeep has more wind noise....
"I ordered with Mopar Headliners, its almost as quiet as my F150 as an fyi, the white looks stupid but shes quiet"
"The headliners will help. On my JK I removed the top, turned it upside down and carpeted the entire interior of the top.
Cost $40 and really helped the looks, I didnt have any noise before and surely didnt after.
I am just spoiled as my Denali is whisper quiet at 80MPH".(His Denali is quieter, Hmmmm)

My main complaint with the Wrangler, is whenever I put the second shifter thingy into something called 4L, the vehicle goes real slow and will not keep up with traffic. Fail FCA your vehicle is too slow even at 6000 rpm. ;)

Just confirms that Jeep has officially become a status symbol for those with money and/or sought by people that have no idea what apples and oranges are.

And now my transfer case is destroyed and Jeep won't fix it. Said it was my fault. For $55k I expect better. I should have gotten a 4Runner or Landrover :)

Hi BearJewJonny,

To avoid confusion on this thread, would you mind following up with me via direct message? I'd be glad to further discuss your order there.

This was the main question that you didn't answer.

Any way you can let us know if there is a transportation delay going on right now? There are around 30 fellas on here who have been KZ for a bit and haven't shipped.

simpleJL,

Each vehicle order is unique, we ask each individual owner to send us a private message so we can look into their situiations further. However, current delays associated with the JL would be due to vehicle launch.

You folks should monitor the thread on hardtop wind noise. This seems to be a persistent issue with new JL’s and imho should be qc’d before cars are delivered
Noted, FPD. Thank you for taking time out to provide this feedback. Should you have any questions in the future, feel welcome to connect with us.

Speaking of wind noise with the soft top.... the new premium soft top is dang quite, quieter then any hardtop JK or TJ I’ve ever owned.

It’s unfortunately not available as an option on the Sport. Probably could buy it later from Bestop though.
