Heated steering wheel dead

2019 JL Sport. When I push the steering wheel heat button, the button lights up, then goes off 5 seconds later. No heat felt on wheel. Dealership I bought from (not Jeep) bought a new wheel, installed, and had the same problem. They want me to take it to jeep, which I did, but they are booked out almost two months. Can someone give me some troubleshooting tips please.

Is there a code?

With a new one, I'd assume the element and t-stat are good. Only other thing I'm seeing in the manual is a low voltage condition that would turn it off.

It’s not throwing a code. Just light on, then light off. If there was a low voltage condition, would that affect the seat heat as well? The seats are working fine.

When the heated seat or steering wheel no longer heats (separate entities) you will see no code thrown. You will see what you are seeing.... goes on and off in a few seconds.

This past year, my passenger seat heat died... I got a hold of Star Case paperwork from a Tech friend of mine and it told me what parts to buy, etc.. (seat pad, to include modules) That addressed the issue. Cost me a couple of hundred $ and an hour or so doing the fix.

Could be the Tech missed something, etc.. Star Case paperwork comes out of headquarters so to speak and usually zeroes in on an issue and how they found to fix an issue.

My pass seat issue was really intermittent....

Star Case bailed me out for sure.. specific parts... needed direction.
