So I've been lookin at this as a better setup than my crappy popup tent. Has anyone used one of these? I'm a side/stomach sleeper so if it stays flat like it says seems like a neat set up with the hitch mount/hanger that is available. If you've got one let me know what you think.

Looks a lot like a Hennessy Hammock. I’ve slept in those before (and lots of other hammock camping). I’m not sure about that brand/model, but you flatten out the hammock significantly if you sleep off axis (enough for me to side sleep).

Yeah that's a good point. This has an inflatable pad that's supposed to keep it flat. It looks like it works just looking for some real life experience.

I like the idea of not having to find a perfect spot for a tent just get mostly level and hang off the hitch.

Well this sent me down a rabbit hole of youtube videos and reviews. It has a lot of positive reviews.

This guy had some negatives to say about it though.

These look pretty cool. I do a lot of hammock camping with my Warbonnet Blackbird and absolutely love it. The only problem I run into is that you need at least one other thing to hang the hammock on besides your Jeep and when I am in the desert that can be a problem. If someone else is with me with a Jeep it isn't a problem, but I have had to pass up a lot of spots looking for something to hang off of when it is just my Jeep out there.

Yeah that's why I like this.

I've never heard of Haven hammock tents until now. After watching the negative review posted by SadRobot (the guy looked to be over the recommended 175lb limit to me), I'm thinking the addition of a drop stitch air mattress might be a good addition to the Haven tent. I know my drop stitch kayak is very rigid compared to most blow up kayaks, but certainly not as stiff as fiberglass.
A search says these mattresses do exist, so worth looking into. Here is one example, although this is a Chinesium company and I saw no price:
https://www.durainflate.com/product/inflatable-air-mattress/

And this should give the impression of how rigid drop stitched products can be:

Yeah the pad that cone with the tent is supposed to be rigid. I would need to get the XL as I'm a big guy but if be under the max limit.

If it comes with the pad shown in the negative review video, I don't see how it could be very rigid with all those crosswise crease lines acting like hinges! The individual air cells should be lined up lengthwise to make it stiffer. Note that the king sized paddle board in the video I posted wasn't flexing much at all with four guys on top of it!

Problem is you need to balance the firmness of a drop stitch floor with comfort. I have used inflatable SUPs, and they aren’t comfortable for 8 hours of sleep. The posted link even says it’s comfortable at low pressure (i.e. when it’s not firm) and is like a springboard at higher pressures (i.e. not comfortable). You might find a Goldilocks PSI or it might be one or the other.

Yep, would make for a hard bed. I'd use it as a stiff base with regular air mattress or foam on top. This would be way too heavy to use for backpacking, but easy to carry in a Wrangler.
