Hardtop repair

So I was in a hurry trying to put my top back on. One of the hooks from my straps was still on the top and when I pulled forward it pulled through the top. I feel that it can be repaired but I don’t even know where to start. Any suggestions?

You might want to check this whole thread even though I've linked the post from Jeff Scherb, the (IMHO) godfather of 'separating a hard top into four flat pieces and seamlessly connecting and disconnecting them to form a top..or 4 flat pieces that lie under someone's bed.'

Boat repair shop. They specialize in this type of repair on fiberglass, etc.

You may want to consider these brackets. They are easy to install, securely attach the lifting strap and don't require a hook to contact the top.

I went to an auto body shop when Barbie dip n cracked my HT. Not a hard repair to do. Good luck

I had what I thought was an easy repair when I damaged mine in a hurry to put my top on as well. Couldn’t find a shop to even look at it. Insurance paid for a new top.
