No holes are drilled with my holster posted above. The rear is held by a clip that slides between the carpet and plastic, the front uses a pre existing screw in the trim. It’s made by another of our members here and is really quality work.
Oh I really like the leather one but it’s handgun specific I believe, the magnetic ones I believe all use some sort of screws which I’m not a fan of

Yes sir, it’s specific like any custom leather holster. I believe he can make them for about 80 different frames.
Using the same screw I used on the front of the holster for a magnet might place it so far forward that it’s an awkward reach, but I’m not sure.

@WranglerMan

The magnetic ones I have come use a pair self-tapping screws designed for mounting in the home. My only problem is I don't have a bolt long enough with the same thread pattern. Well... not my only problem... my Chick would argue this... but my only problem for the purposes of this thread.

The magnets are a neat idea but I'm not a fan of the exposed triggers. Beautiful leather holster and I hadn't thought about using a belt holster with the clips upside-down. I use one of the modular Ohai holsters from crossbreedholsters. They'll stick to the carpet or to velcro pretty much anywhere. Personally I like to keep the pistol next to the seatbelt release because it's somewhat concealed and in a great location for a car-jacking scenario but that spot is pretty narrow on the jeep.

Gibson Leatherworks, finest piece of custom leatherwork I’ve ever owned. It’s too bad I lost all of my guns in a boating accident after install.

Very sorry to hear that, truly sucks.
Losing all your guns in a boating accident...are ye a pirate?

No sir I would never engage in piracy, that is in violation of the law.
Well I'm very glad to hear that.
I also lost all my guns in a boating incident.
In my case, pirates boarded me vessel and took all me guns.
Congrats on choosing the law-abiding lifestyle and avoiding moral pitfalls like piracy.

Thanks for sharing this. I love it. Would the holster interfere with seat movement for a shorter driver?
Possibly if mounted on drivers side. I mounted on passenger side to avoid this, and is a more natural reach for me. I’d advise contacting Gibson leather works to discuss.

I like the opposite side holster. My big ass just fits in the drivers area with no extra room. my leg rests against the right side and the transfer case shifter. I have thought about the "below the steering wheel" location but have to check for a draw from there. I guess it beats the top of the center console...

Thanks for the reply. The passenger side mounting makes sense.

So far so good. Easy install, handgun is very secure. Simple spot so it’s not digging into my back when I drive.

For those that will run their mouths, save it.

The handgun will never be left inside the vehicle, especially in that location, AND, in the event I roll over, the handgun will be the least of my concerns.

Did you have to tap holes or did you use a pre existing spot to put the screws?

Thanks for the link to Amazon also!
