Gupton custom order timeline

New forum member here, this is my first post! I ordered JLUR through a dealer here in DFW, TX last week at MSRP and thought I did ok. THEN, I read about Gupton on this forum and decided I'll just eat my $500 deposit here in Texas. Just got done ordering the same Jeep with Renee. Saved enough that I threw in the steel bumper group for good measure. She was awesome to work with and I am now playing the waiting game.

I wish I found this forum sooner. I also wish I didn't sell my JKU last week thinking surely I could find the JLUR I wanted on a lot somewhere. Oh well! Live and learn.

Renee said realistically, expect to pick up the Jeep mid February since they won't start production on MY22 until second week of December.

I know the gupton deals are great already and I’m not complaining but do you know if they also add incentives like the first responder discount Jeep has or anything like that? I’d like to know before talking to Renee about my final balance.

Good question. Has anyone tried it before. I personally hate to go through that process in a dealership which was the reason for me ordering a Jeep with a committed price

I think he/she is just asking about the factory incentives. We qualified for the first responder $500 and 0% but I didn't bring them up at closing.

It’s not negotiating. Just curious if they acknowledge things like the first responder discount. But yeah since they do offer a good deal I figured I’d ask here first.

I believe it can be added as I was able to get the AR discount linked to my employer. It never hurts to ask.

Mine did too and I have not heard from them. I am sure they are swamped with deliveries

Folks - Headed over to Nashville later today.

Question I had was - What is the standard drill when I pick up my Sahara?
Check tire pressure?
Do a test drive?
Do a 360 check for any damages?
Anything else?

Not sure if Daniel is back from vacation, so Renee will probably take care of you before passing you off to Walter (F&I).

She will want you to setup your Jeep account on your phone.

My tire pressure was 41. Renee dropped it to 36 for me.

I did a quick look over, but again, if there's an issue, realistically what can you do about it except have them document it.

I did not test drive mine, but would have turned around if I noticed an issue.

Be amazed how they don't try to screw you.

Be nice to them cuz it's been a hell of a ride for them.

Find out for us what their current promotion is for 2022's (% off invoice)

Take lots of photos.

Look for any Hella's lighting up the lot and if you see one, be amazed at it's beauty. ?

I've bought many new vehicles and I still forget to check stuff because you're usually so excited your brain isn't functioning right. lol Here's a checklist I found on the forum which you can look over while you're there.
