My last tire rotation resulted in about a week of back pain. My 37s aren't exactly light and I don't have anything to help with the spare.

Another instance of my wife making me aware that I probably should let a shop handle it.

You’re probably tired of me posting it, but this will help with the spare and many other Jeep and household projects. I’ll do just about anything to not have someone else work on my Jeep unless there’s no way around it.

Buying a larger garage with room to store it might make it more expensive than paying someone to do it.

That's actually a great point to running larger tires. About 3 years ago I rolled up on a frail, older, gentleman on the trail trying to change out a flat 35x12.5. He was struggling and had a very worried look about him. I stopped to help him, together we got it changed out. He had the right idea stacking branches to roll the tire on it. I belive he would have eventually got it. Getting the flat tire on the tailgate/tire carrier, I don't know.

Just lay the flat in the back, the tire shop will mount a tire on the carrier upon repair. Older and wiser guy approved.

even spare delete approved 😉

Lol…you can stack stuff on it when not in use. But yes I get your point. I put my Badland off road jack on it. With a large rectangular oil drain pain in a plastic trash bag on top of that. With a large oil fill funnel in s smaller plastic trash bag on top of that. It‘s all about the Jenga. Plus when you’re working on the Jeep you have a spot for your wife to put the beer and sandwich she brought you. 🤓 I‘m stil waiting for my wife to do that for me 🤷

Good idea, I'm the same way. Even if it was $10 I'd still do it myself. I just like to do vehicle maintenance myself, idk why, not because I'm cheap I just enjoy to do it...

I estimate what I saved to rationalize spending the money on tools. My wife just rolls her eyes.

that would be perfect with some casters. Been thinking about how to do this myself. I had my 35” spare off and I had to get my wife and adult daughter to help lift it to the bracket. Darn they are heav!
