Hoping to get some advice -
From what my dealer has told me - they put in the TSB replacement steel steering box and mistakenly entered the wrong sales code / set the gearing to the second iteration of the box (gen 2 aluminum). After realizing the mistake (it drove funny), they have been trying for four weeks to clear the sales code from the wrong box, so they can then re flash and update the steering gearing for the correct box (steel).
My dealer says they are waiting on jeep to make this change remotely, and as soon as they see it in the system they can re flash and the jeep will be ready. For some reason though.. the update is not taking from jeep.
I have contacted jeep cares, and opened a support ticket. But no one has been able to tell me why they cant get this update to work.
My dealer has been super transparent, and is hoping to get an engineer out to look at the jeep, but I worry a little given how long this has taken.
Has anyone had anything similar happen or have any advice? seems crazy that they can't fix this.
