Just added the kit (w/ram) to my 3.6 non etorque) getting the same sound as others when i turn the wheel. it starts out quiet, but after 5 or so minutes the sound kicks in.
Would love to know if there is a solve. Called PSC and they just told me i had not bled the system correctly.
Both seem to be good motors at this point, but they drive differently. I went 3.6, but if I was at altitude i would have gone turbo.
Drive both, and see which you like. Any motor can have issues down the road... just pick what you enjoy driving.
talk to your case manager about a rental. My dealer did not offer loaners and they (jeep) ended up giving me $75 (sub total) a day for a rental (45 originally, but you can negotiate if your area has high prices)
my jeep was down 5 week due to software - so get on it early as they can take a...
update / rant - at this point I'm just looking to highlight what a shitty job jeep has done. I have been a jeep guy for almost 20 years .. never had an issue, but now I better understand some of the stories you read on this forum #jeepdoesnotcare
- No clear articulation of why this can't be...
Hoping to get some advice -
From what my dealer has told me - they put in the TSB replacement steel steering box and mistakenly entered the wrong sales code / set the gearing to the second iteration of the box (gen 2 aluminum). After realizing the mistake (it drove funny), they have been...
Aany detail to support this? - been wheeling for years and have never heard of a snatch strap lasting three pulls. They do have a tag that falls out when they are no longer fit for use, but I have been taught to expect comparable longevity to a kinetic rope.
Not looking to argue, genuinely...
+1 to Patches. you need to give folks a little context here. You are a sponsor, but you are not gonna get the value with a new thread that speaks to comments made by other members in other threads.
This is confusing and almost feels like spam. Im sure you have a cool product, but this is not...
Any update on this.. i am having a similar issue.
I have the genesis kit. Drove my jeep for about an hour sunday, then tried to start it on tuesday and both batteries were stone dead.
I have the Trekboxx system and love it. American made, family owned and run.
I worked with David the owner to be the Guinea pig for his first JL system.
The quality is the best i have seen in the space. It is certainly not for everyone given the cost (please refrain from the"i cOuLD BuILd It...
I would encourage you not to buy bigger jeep parts like bumpers on amazon. Generally its cheaper stuff for folks who are chasing the offroad look more than anything else.
There are some awesome jeep specific sellers that have great knowledge and really good support. Give the guys at Northridge...
The steps or the bumpers? I would not expect terrible issues with the bumper, but definitely with the running boards.
Fl wheeling is also a little different to the rocks out west...
Generally Cheap sh*t aint good, and good Sh*t aint cheap.
I would encourage you to explore other, better known brands.. even rugged ridge or smittybilt are likely a little better quality. For a few hundred bucks more you can find a better know brand that will likely be more robust...
That is a great combo. please post up how it runs once you have it bolted up.
I have been kicking around the idea of the 80 in the rear.. especially because i do plan to motor swap in a few years. The Spicer 60s are just such an easy option
Thanks. That is what is worrying me... the guy who put my long arm on called my JL the hea
Thanks
That is my worry with mine... im told my JL is substantially heavier than most. It is part of the reason i am looking at 60s
