I doubt GM is really bench marking. Probably just using as an excuse to see what it is like to drive a fun vehicle. Or more likely trying to figure a way out to make it into a crossover.

I still have my 2010 H3 Alpha as well, couldn’t part with it love it too much. It’s a fantastic car and I hope they bring something back like it. I also still have an H1, while I know GM technically didn’t build it they did have the selling rights! It’s sad how they once sold some great iconic off-road machines and now all they have is the ZR2

I saw a Wheeler Dealer episode where they got a H1 from salvage and turned it into a cool ride. Now if the Diesel Brothers could just do that and add some monster Cummings to it - then we're talking!

The trailblazer was a good vehicle. Inline 6 was a great engine.

SS with the 6.0 LS2 was even better

Looks like GM may finally join Ford and come up with a competitor to the Wrangler. I know this is just speculation and nothing is confirmed but what are you thoughts? I actually still own my 2009 Hummer H3 Alpha and can honestly say it is still one of my favorite vehicles I have ever owned. I always believe competition is great for everyone and I hope GM actually comes up with a true body on frame SUV into the market!

Bring back the original Hummer!!! The H2 and H3 both were name plays on the original but nothing more than new bodywork on existing platforms. The H1 was a special beast.

I'd love to own one; looked at some on the used market but most are pretty butchered with grotesque mod's.

In a former life I used to work for GM. BOC Flint. Don't read anything into this. GM has a large fleet of competitors vehicles. They are given to executives to drive so they can experience the competition. Many GM employees get company vehicles so that's all they drive. The only thing this means is there is one lonely Rubicon out there stuck in GM jail. Tom

I’ll try and dig up an old photo but one of ours got peppered with SAF. Bullet holes all the way across the windshield. Bugs weren’t too much of a problem haha

So one of the HMMWVs I was driving took an IED blast without cracking. The rest of the truck was a mess but the windows were perfect.
