I have been experimenting with different fuels at each fill up. I wanted to see which fuel offered the best fuel economy with offering the best experience. I used the Jeeps MPG meter and reset it at every fill up and stuck to the same driving routine.
Hopefully someone can find this info useful.
2018 Jeep Sport S
2 Door
2.0 with automatic
Stock everything and brand new
17.6mpg - Dealership fuel (unknown) and still getting to know the Jeep.
21.7mpg - 87 octane Valero 10% Ethanol. Sluggish driving experience.
22.1mpg - 89 octane Valero with 10% ethanol. Much better driving experience.
24.3mpg - 92 octane Buc-ee’s and ethanol free. The Jeep ran its best out of all the fuels. I think it may have done better mpg wise, but i got on it a bit. Most expensive of all the fuels.
25.1mpg - 93 octane Shell with 10% ethanol. Ran well, almost as good as the Buc-ee’s gas and cheaper.
