So I have a lot of wires on my jeep. Bought this moroso aluminum block To attach my wires to. The silly IBS sensor has copper connections on top and bottom. It is currently (pun intended) connected to the stock brass mount. Both brass and aluminum cab have galvanic corrosion with copper. It just seems strange. Anyone else have ding something other than stock for the battery terminals? These are pictures of what I have to try, but they are all either aluminum or brass. Just post your random thoughts and suggestions 😊

I think you are correct about the aluminum but are overthinking a potential (pun intended) problem with brass. Brass is closer to copper than any of the other metals in your picture. Think about this: most of your copper wires have steel ends crimped on to them.

The galvanic potential between the aluminum block and the steel screws provided with it are a headache in the making by themselves.

Thanks! I really appreciate your insight. I subsequently found out that my negatives really should be on the other side of the IBS. The compressor and the battery charger specifically. A blind charge outside the purview of the IBs can cause issues, and if the IBS doesn’t know that the compressor is using a lot of power, it may not send info to the charging system. So in the end, I’m scrapping the aluminum bock idea, and going with a small brass fitting that will attach to the correct side of the IBS. Who knew, this would be such a colossal waste of money and time.🤔😢
