A friend here at work has a 18 JLU and he belongs to a couple jeeps clubs, off roads a lot. This company (Don't know the exact company, didn't ask) was looking for Ginny Pig jeeps for their new air ride system and he filled out the app. went to a meeting and got picked. So he got a free air ride set up, nice.

The other day we were talking about it and he says I have my old 2.5 lift/leveling kit, you can have it if you want it. I was like okay. So I got a free lift/leveling kit. Don't know who makes it, can't read the stickers on it (But haven't cleaned it yet and looked close) He actually bought it before he even got his jeep, and then ran it for about 2 years and can't remember who made it. It's just a spacer lift with sway bar links, bump stops, shock brackets, etc.

Now I don't know exactly what I am doing yet. read some on here, watched a few videos etc. There seems to be a lot of debate over these. I would go for a more complete kit but can't afford it right now.

Some say you need an alignment after install, some say you don't. Some say they suck, others say they are absolutely fine. The person that gave it to me said he had zero issues with it. Jeep rode straight down the road, no change in ride quality, rode just as good as stock for just over 2 years.

After going to Windrock TN I wouldn't mind having a little more ride height, plus with all the water fording in FL it wouldn't hurt either. Wasn't planning on lifting it so soon, but hey free is always nice.

Opinions please. People running these ok.

I will post some pic.'s when I get it all cleaned up maybe this weekend.

Thanks

Nothing wrong with running spacer lift as long you run the appropriate length sway bar links and shocks. In your case you have shock extensions so that’s good. This will tide you over till you do your end game lift.
