Fox steering stabilizer

quick question:
I bought a Fox 2.0 steering stabilizer.
My Jeep is lifted with the 2” Mopar so it is easy to get under it with it on jacks.

Is it possible to simply unbolt the stock shock and bolt this in without jacking it up or removing/loosing anything?

Yes. I did before even installing a lift. Takes 5 min to swap out.

It’s actually an easier install without jacking the Jeep up. I looked up the factory torque spec and it is 59 lbs on both ends. I remember seeing RC stabilizer calling for 75 lbs. I just did 75 lbs and called it a day.

Quick update:
Installed in 15 minutes. Easiest install yet.
I was having wobble when I hit pot holes or bumps and the dealer said my SS was defective. I opted to just upgrade. 37” tires and 2” Mopar lift. Bump steer is totally gone after install.

303rider...How is the fox steering stabilizer holding up. Still no more steering wheel wobble when You hit pot holes or bumps. I too have 37’s, 2 inch lift...getting some feedback in the steering wheel when I hit a pot hole. Everything else on the front suspension is tight. Do you have the regular or the adjustable? Thanks

Steering is good but a little loose feeling. Yes the SS from Fox fixed the bump wobble.
I do not have anything adjustable.
Might go to the dealer about the track bar.

Thanks for the update. My steering was rather loose from the factory(also did not track well down the freeway/had the wandering). Added some adjustable front lower control arms (increased caster from 4 to 6.5 degrees)and steering in much much tighter and it tracks straight as an arrow down the freeway. I also just installed the YETI track bar the other day which added another layer of smoothness/ increased driving performance(even removed about 50% of the small bump steering wheel wobble after hit a pot hole-very minor now). Once I replace the garbage stock steering stabilizer I believe it will be perfect.

UPDATE 8/1: Just Installed the Fox 2.0 SS (non adjustable)and as I suspected it added another layer of smoothness/ increased driving performance(removed the very minor steering wheel wobble after hit a pot hole. Freeway I find myself cruising at 80 with one hand on the wheel. Dead spot also gone,that very loose steering wheel feel gone. When I first purchased my JL (Feb 2018).. two hands on the wheel at all times and I dreaded the freeway. My Jeep now drives as well as my wife’s 2015 Range Rover Sport.(Really). It took me 18 months and the help of this forum to make it happen. Two Jeep dealers, FCA-Jeep corporate contacted as well..no help at all.

NOTE: I do notice after the Fox SS the Jeep does pull to the right just a little bit now..not bad at all and keep in mind I installed SS and drove it just 2 miles...thinking it may break in a bit with some drive time. Benefits outweighs this anyway.


Recap for my resolution:
-Tighten all front end bolts. Many were loose-not torqued properly from the factory.
- Caster low from the factory. Installed adjustable front LCA to correct.
-Installed the Yeti sway bar.
-Installed the Fox SS(non-adjust)

Above worked for me and correct the steering issues. I understand that some have no issues at all and some may have different issues.

If you have steering issues and you are in Fresno,CA. IM me if you desire for addition info or if you need to drive JL the drive like it should ave originally(my JL drove like garbage prior to the tires and lift).
