I have a '22 Rubicon 2-dr with the Mopar 2" lift installed by the dealer right after purchase. It's done mild off-roading, but mostly street driven for it's 12,100 miles. The other day I noticed that both of the front Fox shocks are leaking fluid. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it covered under warranty?

If it was installed by the dealer, it should be covered by the 3/36 warranty.
My history with Fox Shocks is they are overrated.
I had them on my Ranger Tremor and never offroaded, but went through several Fox shocks that came stock.

Fox's need rebuilding anywhere from 15k-30K+....you're just about there. Especially, if you got some with bad seals from the factory.

Here is Fox's actual service recommendation......pretty frequent servicing if you hit dirt on a regular basis.

Kind of sad, especially if you don’t off road much. I’ve got a 2022 Rubicon XR with about 14,000 miles. Both left shocks were leaking when I changed the oil before storing it last fall. My Jeep has seen plenty of dirt/mud and water puddles on trails; but always thoroughly cleaned up after off road experiences. Seems like shock seals ought to last longer than 14,000 miles.

I sound like a broken record, but Bilstein's have the best seals (just based on reliability for me personally) and reading up on their specs that I have come across......not everyone likes their digressive valving though.

I have the same shocks from the Mopar lift kit and I have one front leaking after 20,000 miles. My dealer is trying to get a warranty replacement for mine but they told me that there were not any in stock in the country as of 2 weeks ago. I have no idea when I will see that replacement. They didn't even have any older kits with Fox shocks to take one from. I am not ready to go all in on a new lift yet but now looking at new shocks makes me wonder....

@e_artiles What did you find out from your dealer? I stopped by my dealer last week and they didn't have any update or ETA on the replacement even though it is covered by warranty. At this point it has puked out all the oil along the underside and frame and has virtually no dampening left.

Sorry for the delay. The dealer kept our Jeep for 2 weeks before giving it back and claiming they found no leaking from the shocks! The service advisor got under the Jeep with me and sure enough, there was no fluid leaking from the shocks (there was a leak initially when I left it for service, verified by the service advisor). All they advised was to keep an eye on it and if it happens again to bring it back in. If they had a quicker turn around time I wouldn't mind, but 2 weeks? That's just insane!

Good luck and fingers crossed. Mine was bad enough initially it was leaving a damp oil puddle on garage floor until it ran out of oil to drip.

update: supposedly they have the correct shock in. We shall see what happens this week.

update: The dealer did have the correct shock this time and it was installed and covered by warranty.

Did they remove the shock and verify that it had oil in it? It would quit leaking when it ran out of oil.
