I put a set of fox 2.0 shocks 2-3" on my 24 wrangler 4dr. 2.0 engine about 3 months ago. From day one I noticed the front gained about .5 to 1" lift and i was thinking it will go down once it settled in. Its been 3 months and still the same. I thought about putting teraflex 2 inch shock extension to compress the shocks to get rid of the extra lift. Will that work??? I dont do offroading or anything like that.

Shocks shouldn't lift your Jeep any.
They absolutely will if you move from a low pressure to high pressure shock. Swapping Rubicon shocks on my Sport gave me a 1/4" lift (I measured before and after), purely because the high pressure tubes exert so much more force and take that weight off the springs. But not 1 inch.

‘Really? You measured one quarter inch of lift? You sure you didn’t drive onto a pebble?

If your Wrangler was stock, why did you put 2-3" lift shocks on it? I've switched from stock Rubi shocks to Fox on one Jeep and to Falcons on the other and no change that I can see in height. Maybe your extended shocks are bottoming out.

It's pretty easy when the Jeep never moved at all in the garage during the upgrade. Plus if you've ever handled Sport and Rubicon shocks, the Rubicon shocks take quite a bit more force to keep compressed to bolt them up. What do you think happens with that upwards force when they're on the vehicle and it's applied to trying to lift the frame away from the axle?

My question will putting 2" shock extension to compress the fox shock fix that gained height?

Springs support a vehicle's weight and absorb road impacts by compressing, while shocks (dampers) control and dissipate that energy to prevent continuous bouncing.

The shocks you put in are 2-3" longer than they should be for your given springs. This means they are compressed further than they should be. (Bottomed out.)

Look at the shock and see if you have any of the shaft showing. If not, you are using the shock body as a solid pogo to ride on. This will damage the shock and your ride quality. Remove them and get shocks that are the correct length for your springs. Or get 2.5" lift springs. 🍻

Something is lifting my jeep, will raising it higher make it lift it less. Maybe think about that for a second.

Normally I try to be a voice of reason, but since @Krondor has me covered there I can just be condescending.
