Yeah I mentioned that as one of my concerns and probably the reason I will get rid of it :movember:
I purchased it blind and figured it would mount similar to the JK variation(over the tie rod)

I will be switching to hydro assist in the near future :like:
Redneck ram?

Redneck ram?

Brett
Probably, or I will port/tap my own box and use a PSC cylinder like I did in the past.
I would have already pulled the trigger on the Redneck Ram, but they don't have any JL boxes in stock so I would have to pull mine and wait for them to rebuild/port and send it back.

Let me know your thought process as you go for. It’s less than $800 I think for the kit. Maybe we could make a day trip and run over to San Angelo and have them do a couple. I think this might be a good fix for the guys and galls that are getting the dead spot

Anyone figured out a way to relocate this yet? Wish I would have seen this thread before purchasing.

Which is why I said I wish I would have known this before purchasing.
Fox has a bracket you can use to attach to the tie rod. Part number is below:

Fox Shocks 803-02-039 Tie Rod Mounting Clamp; 1 5/8

You can purchase a relocation bracket from Metal Cloak, Steer Smarts, or Synergy. I’m currently waiting for the Fox Tie Rod Mount to come in. I’ll update you as soon as I get it installed.

But why go through all the trouble and cost when you can just buy the jk version that has everything you need? I ordered one and will be selling my JL version once I get it. I’m don’t think that clamp will even work with the JL version.

The Fox ATS I ordered from Northridge 4x4 arrived today. It appears to have some issues.

The L bracket is facing the wrong direction. The circular mount is also twisted so that the screw holes are in the incorrect position. I believe I should be able to correct this by loosening the bolts and changing orientations on the L bracket as well as the circular mount.

According to the pictures in the directions, it appears that the circle on the circular mount is to fit inside the circle on the mounting bracket. Is this correct? Mine does not fit and seems that I will have to grind out the circle on the bracket.

I have attached pictures for clarification.

Are you running the jk version of the fox ats ss. Did it come with an extended track bar bolt? Do you have pic?
thanks
It did come with the stud mount. I still ended up with clearance issues with my tie rod so I made some minor modifications to a Metalcloak bracket and got a new spacer through Northridge. It was kind of a pain in the ass but it's dialed in now. I've talked to multiple people that had no issues just running the stud mount.

Are you running stock tie rod, or aftermarket? And did the mc relo bracket make it closer to the track bar than putting it on track bar bolt?
Stock tie rod. The bracket raised the axle end slightly, which was all I needed. I had trouble with the SS body hitting the tie rod near the axle mount at full lock right turns when using the stud mount. I haven't seen anyone else with that issue. Guess I'm just lucky.

I had to twist mine, loosen the screw, twist it to where you need it, and tighten. I was confused at first as well, It it all worked out.

Did the circle on the circular mount fit inside the circle on the bracket? In the instructions it looks like it is supposed to but mine doesn't. You can see what I'm talking about in one of the pictures.
