Does anybody know if it is possible to buy/install a MOPAR forward facing TrailCam (think Sahara or Rubicon) in a 2025 Sport S (JLU) that didn’t come with one? Does the head unit have a connection that will allow for the forward facing cam to plug in to it? Also curious about how to get it to work on the Sport S (I.e., does it require a software update, or does the head unit recognize the camera automatically?). Thanks all, very curious about what anyone may have to say about this topic. I would like to install an OEM TrailCom on my Jeep but can’t find anyone who has done so.

I believe the Z automotive that makes the zmini programer makes an aftermarket front camera that the mini will allow the vehicle to see the camera. Don’t know about which radio it works with.

It's not that easy.
First, you have to buy Camera Processor Module, $300+ (for my 2024 Rubi 4xe it's Mopar part 68631270AC). Then you have to buy the camera, grille insert, washer, hoses, and other small parts.
You will have to get a set of custom cables, 3 video cables, power cable, and CAN cable. You need to run those cables to a convenient location. In vehicles with factory Trail Cam, CPM is mounted inside center console, near rear vents. Your vehicle has different wire harness, so you can mount it anywhere you want. After that, you have to go to your dealer and ask them to add sales code to your vehicle to enable front camera, it will otherwise not work.
I am planning to add one to my Rubi and create detailed instructions on how to do that. My plan is to install it near the passenger's kick panel. Why? There's backup camera connector there, so you have backup camera and radio coax cables. You have power and CAN connection near by. All you need is to run coax from front to this point and use few short cables to connect all that to CPM.

i am surprised with all the new fangled tech stuff someone hasn't come out with a stand alone montitor and a wireless camera hook up to it that could be mounted up front on the bumper etc..My old version go pro could do this and I could use my phone as a monitor but it had a delay so it was not great for spotting myself as everything was delayed.

I had a Garmin Overlander in a truck which allowed 4 cameras but they were Bluetooth and the lag made them pretty much worthless for the cost. Then Garmin discontinued the cameras and dropped support to the Overlander when they released the Tread. That’s when I decided I was done with Garmin,

The Stinger Heigh10 head unit allows 4 camera inputs, Here’s a great write up by @C.Sco

No way is the quality of the OEM trail cam worth the installation time and nearly $1k in parts to install IMHO.

I went with a Wolfbox G900 Tripro. Couldn't be happier. Yeah, there's an extra monitor on the dash but I can put the cameras where I want and use them how I want.

Plus the resolution is better than the OEM camera, all three cameras record simultaneously, and the installation time and cost is about a third of the OEM camera.
