I recently asked the same question in the QTDDTOT thread. The consensus was similar to here, re: using the differential (pumpkin) as the jacking point. And so I proceeded thusly. Jack stands were then quickly positioned on each end of the axle.

I jack the pumpkin, and then place jack stands under the rear axles and lower it onto the jack stands. Then the jack goes to the front axle and I lift on the diff there so that the entire vehicle is in the air. It only takes 10 minutes to rotate the tires. Just remember to torque them after it is back on planet earth.

For tire rotation I just jack up the corner of the Jeep of the tire I am removing and replace with the spare (5 tire rotation) and move to the next tire to be changed. In the rear it’s the axle tube below the spring, in the front I use the LCA mount on the axle.

Spare -> left rear, left rear -> left front, left front -> right rear, right rear -> right front, right front -> spare. Alway have even wear and long tire life.

With no additional weight in the vehicle the pumpkin is fine to use to jack up, if you are loaded heavy do use the area under the spring.

The offset on the axles isn't a big deal - been doing this since Jesus was knee high: Put the floor jack under the pumpkin with a piece of wood, like a small section of 2x4, in between. Raise it enough to get a a jackstand under the axle tube as close to directly below the spring as you can. You might need to go inwards a bit since trapezoid footprint jackstands will interfere with the tire. Next, move the floor jack over to the other side and jack directly under the axle tube until you can put another jack stand over there. Repeat on the rear axle and you should have all sides on jackstands. Very easy now to do complete tire rotation.
Do you mean to place the jack as close to the coil springs as possbile (see quoted bold text above)?

Hi. I’m sure it’s been discussed, but my search skills need some work ...

What jack point do you use? Just doing tire rotations and grabbed a HF 3ton floor jack, but I can’t seem to find a good jack point for fronts without interfering with something (see below arrow). thanks!

I’m having the same issue trying to place my floor jack under the coil spring.. The jack is too large to fit in there. Like you have marked in red, the shock mount interferes with the jack.

How did you end up solving the problem?

I have my local mechanic rotate my tires for $20. I wish I had a better answer.
