2024 Willys....Roadmaster wiring harness for flat towing(with Diodes) - not installed yet.
a) "inherited" a complete Roadmaster "Even Brake system" when I purchased my RV
b) Even Brake system uses the brake light circuit to activate the braking action on the Even Brake box.
c) "Push Button" start in the Willys requires a "Brake-Lite Relay" to be added to the toad.
d) Instructions for the Brake Lite relay show an additional diode AFTER power to the relay is supplied from the tail light wire in the flat tow harness (Brown wire) .
Question - Have any of you 2024 owners that use your Jeep as a toad installed a brake lite relay AND did you install the additional diode? ( I'm guessing that since the flat towing harness has diodes - I do not need one?) ...thnx
Deznut6, Just purchased a 2024 Sport S. Non LED. Can you tell me if the CURT 58964 wiring kit worked out on your 2024. I haven't found many posts on the 2024 with that kit... THANKS

Clay...I went with all "Road Master" products ( wiring harness kit with diodes P/N RM-152-1671-7) due to the fact that I "inherited" a Road Master braking system when I purchased my RV.
I did make a mistake and purchased the "Brake Light Relay Kit" due to watching too many videos on "etrailer" ...it was NOT needed , but after talking with Road Master they told me to purchase an additional "Brake light switch kit" (P/N RM-751489) ...I believe I need this additional switch to activate the brake lights when the braking system is pushing on the brake pedal. I also added a charging line to the Jeep that gets power from my RV to keep my Jeep's battery charged ( P/N RM-156-25) ...I looked at your Curt 58964 wiring kit and wish I purchased it instead of my Road Master kit, as the Curt design is "Plug and Play" my Road Master kit required cutting and jumping of wires. NOTE you MAY still need the Brake light switch kit if you are using a braking system ( call someone at CURT or Etrailer) ...it has a custom bracket that fits well , but is PIA to install....best of luck with your install...hth!

For those that used diodes, do you remember what the factory wire colors were that you tapped into?

For any interested, I adapted the MOPAR harness to a standard 6 pin connector (since I use the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar that already has a 7-to-6 pin cable due to the built in LEDs).

I figured out what connector was used and found it for sale online at findpigtails.com. They have it listed as pigtail “B72C8”, as shown here:

FindPigtails-Connector-SKU-B72C8-100x100.jpg

You can pick one up here: FindPigtails.com B72C8, and use the discount code WELCOME20 for 20% off. Its not super cheap. ($79 before discount)

Then, I used standard 6 conductor trailer wire (Amazon, or wherever) to wire the 6-pin connector, making sure to adapt the correct color wires from the MOPAR side to the standard colors on the trailer wire / 6 pin side. Unfortunately not all the wires on the MOPAR harness are standard so you have to map them to your wire and to the correct pins on the 6 pin plug. eTrailer has the standard pins/colors here: eTrailer Wiring 6-pin.

There are some other places that have the function of each color on the MOPAR harness, but Ill paste here:

Black is used for 12-volt
Red is used for Left Turn
Green is used for Tail Light
Brown is used for Right Turn
Blue is used for Brake Controller
White is used for Ground

The great thing is, not only is it all standard, but if I sell my Jeep to get another JL I can just unplug and remove my harness, remove the baseplate and provide the MOPAR 7-pin cable with the sale of the car to the next owner, while keeping my setup that is compatible with my tow bar.

Hope this helps!
Greetings daftpunk74, do you happen to know what the black Aux/12 volt wire is used for in the mopar flat tow harness?
