Hello all,
I have the Maximus 3 tow loops on my Mopar Steel Bumper and I’m getting ready to install the 6 pin plug and and brake away cable.

For those of you using the Mopar bumper, would you mind posting a pic of where you mounted your plug and brake away box? I’m trying to get a feel for the best spot to mount them so it looks good.

Thanks!

I attached my plug to the Maximus spacer cover and the breakaway down where I cut the slot for the hook. I was prepared to open the hole up a bit more for the cable if needed, but tested it in every position I could put the tow bar in and it worked fine for me. I left the wires open on the switch as I wasn’t sure how it would hold up to the mud and water crossings. I always carry a spare in the RV. So far no issues.

Looks great. So does your umbilical cord just wrap over the top of the bumper?

I run it through the hole in the bumper. I put an 18” piece of fuel hose I split and slid over the umbilical cord and zip tied it in place to avoid chafing. It’s got about 8k miles on it and no signs of wear.

I ended up putting my 6 pin connector in the same spot. Seems to work great.
