I use a SureFire Titan Plus.

Just throw yourself a small good quality light in your storage cubby and retire the old D-Cell Mag light.
I have an OLight Baton I keep in my arm rest (with some spare CR123s), plus a couple of those cheapy stick LED lights for working on stuff scattered about, but it's still nice to have the big D maglite for, umm, stuff, if you need it. I'm a big dude, but if I'm going to stop and help someone on the side of the road at night I'd rather have the maglite with me for light/reasons than the Olight (which is about the size of a key FOB and worthless at everything but light).

Yep. Me too. But I went with firecracker red for a nice “emergency equipment” look. And, I plan on installing a red fire extinguisher on the other side.

I always have multiples of flashlights around. Some Costco big ones and some rechargeable hi-tech .

Fishbone Offroad mount. Just make sure you mount it on the wifey's side of the Jeep if your tall. I hit my head on it twice already.

I sure see a lot of flashlights (and other items of mass) that are installed in a cool location, but not sufficiently retained. Think about the forces of a collision sideways or from the front or rear. Those brackets that are just a plastic clip mounted at head height scare the bejeepers out of me. As a former aircraft design engineer we had to ensure objects of mass, such as flashlights, fire extinguishers, medical kits, etc., could survive an impact, and remain affixed to its mount.
Just a thought. Be safe.

I have my big MagLite just stashed sticking out from under my seat, but I’d love a bracket of some type holding it in that location. I’ve seen a few for the JK, still hoping one come out for the JL.
