Was it a cold start?

Was it a cold start?
They moved it out for me about an hour before my arrival so it had been sitting for an hourWas it a cold start?
Heimkehr can speak to the 2.0T better than I can, as he has it and I don't. While it seems a little loud in the video, your temps are definitely cooler than down here in San Antonio today, so a cold start after sitting who knows how long (other than the brief moves they did before you came in) could definitely be a factor. If it's been on the lot for weeks not moving, it's possible it just needed more warm-up. That said, it also has a good bit of mileage on it, so some things might need a little maintenance. Did you purchase it, or were you just checking it out? They moved it out for me about an hour before my arrival so it had been sitting for an hour
I was just checking it out. The suspension also seemed very worn as the car felt like it twisted over every bump.Heimkehr can speak to the 2.0T better than I can, as he has it and I don't. Yes, totally agree a lease is a bad idea for many reasons. A lot of people do it, but I never have and never will, particularly for a Jeep. If your sister is going to use it the majority of the year, I'd assume it would be her daily driver? All the more reason why you'd want a lower-mileage used one so that you don't have to worry as much about issues when she has it.I was just checking it out. I also drove a 4xe Sahara which I really liked but I’m not trying to pay $800/month for a lease for a non daily driver
Good listinngs, Halxen. I'd definitely go with the first one. That second listing has a number of things that would have to be undone to make it palatable, the angry grille being #1. Amazing how after 5 years since I purchased mine at 1 year old and 10K miles I still have rarely seen a deal as good as what I got at $37,900 with the full loadout. Didn't have the SOT, though, and that is an expensive option.https://www.carmax.com/car/25690159

Both 2019 Wrangler Sahara with SOT.
I'm not a fan of the "Angry grill" but you could always replace that if you didn't like it.
Both are about average milage for their age and are decent pricing. One is the 2.0L turbo and the other is the 3.6L V6.
I personally would never go with a lease, but others love doing them. That whole buyout thing just sounds confusing, and some on here may have done it, but in general those kinds of deals aren't really in your favor. Wouldn't touch that one.Buying one of these has proven to be more complicated than I anticipated.
I am seeing this 2019 Sahara at Carmax tomorrow
https://www.carmax.com/car/25690159...utm_source=AppShareiOS&utm_medium=AppShareiOS
but I just found this 2021 4xe with SOT, leather and sub and I prefer the green. I would but Maxcare for around $2,500

and lastly, I found out I get some “preferred” pricing on new Jeeps through a professional membership so a local dealership has presented me with the following lease offer on a 2024 Sahara 4xe.
MSRP $66,400
Adjusted cap cost $52,514
Residual value $38,535
$693/month
7,500 miles/year
They said after 45 days I can buy the car out for $52,514 plus sales tax
I just can’t wrap my head around whether
1. This lease is even a good deal? I entered it into leasehacker and it had a score of 8.3
2. This lease makes any sense given that I’m only going to be using it 9 months out of 36 and my sister will be driving it 9 months out of the year.
3. Is buying a used 2021 4xe stupid? Even with Maxcare?
4. If want to get rid of it in 2 years or 5 years, it seems like a 2019 Sahara might have more residual value than a 2021 4xe? Like, people will always want used Wranglers…people won’t always want used 4xe Wrangler.
It feels like on the 2024 4xe, the $13k of incentives are really phantom benefits because the car shouldn’t be priced at $66k msrp, it should be more like high $50s.
Help me. I’m so confused.
thanks, the firecracker one is showing as N/A because I am driving it. It is $34,998I personally would never go with a lease, but others love doing them. The 2019 Firecracker you said you're seeing tomorrow is showing as not available on the site at the moment when I click on the link, with no price listed. Someone may have purchased it. That's okay, because it is not as much vehicle as others you've looked at.
The Sarge green is very nicely loaded out, has the better radio/nav setup (unlike the Firecracker), has the tow package (unlike the Firecracker), and seems to be better kept. That mileage is not bad at all for a 2019, which tells me it didn't take many, if any, real long trips. I really like that color, and the price is pretty reasonable, all things considered.
I know what it's like to be searching and searching for "The One," as I went through the same deal. At some point, though, you just have to go with your gut. It helps to know, exactly what your financial cap is that you are comfortable with. Don't put yourself in over your head for any vehicle to the point you can't enjoy it because you're stressed about the payments. Once you have that set, look for the best overall deal on price, age, mileage, loadout, and go for it. Lastly, I would definitely choose one in a color that you will like several years from now. Don't just focus on features and forget that, as some on here have shared they've had regrets about one choice or another because they were impatient and didn't wait to get what they really want. Your call!
Ah, that makes sense on the Firecracker. Didn't know they did that.thanks, the firecracker one is showing as N/A because I am driving it. It is $34,998
My question on the 4xe is that it seems like some people love it and others say it’s the worst. Will people want a 2021 4xe in a few years?
yeah I’ve been driving the same tesla for 8 years and my wife has had one for 3. I don’t quite understand what the purpose of 20 miles on a charge is. Seems like a way to get tax dollars to fund a complicated gas car lol…a Wrangler EV would be far more appealing to me but what do I knowAh, that makes sense on the Firecracker. Didn't know they did that.
For the 4Xe, it's a mixed bag. Plenty of people on this forum have them and love them. I have a co-worker who has one and she loves it, as she doesn't drive long distance much and it saves a lot of gas. I personally would not get one right now, as the distance provided by the battery currently is not enough to justify the complexity and potential issues down the road. I think hybrids are probably the proper bridge to whatever we ultimately end up with as THE solution for the long-term. We are a long way off from any standardized all-electric platform with proper infrastructure to support it. That said, if you are primarily driving in-town for short distances, you can probably save a lot of gas over the course of a year because you could potentially go all-electric for a lot of your driving. Flip side is that battery eats up rear cargo room under the rear seat and created compromises in that department. I do worry about systems issues surrounding the complexity of the set-up over the life of the vehicle. Some people have had them, some have not. I drove a rental Sahara 4Xe while on a business trip to Florida. It was just fine. I felt like I had to push the accelerator a bit more to get it to kick into lower gear and move out, but once I did it did very well accelerating. For most running around I didn't notice a huge difference in driving manners. I had to get use to the silence of the start when it initially starts in electric mode, though. Kind of wild.
That said, for your intended use it might be just the ticket. The price is decent, you get the SOT, it has a great loadout, it is a great color, it appears well-maintained with lower mileage, and the hybrid setup saves you a bit of gas. Overall, I think that's a pretty good deal for you.yeah I’ve been driving the same tesla for 8 years and my wife has had one for 3.
